Subway? More like Sub-Par

Got a nice booklet of offers through my door so decided to use them at my local SUBWAY store. I checked before hand on the website provided on the coupon to make sure they were a participating store which they are and that the offer is in date, which it was. 'VALID UNTIL AND INCLUDING 30/10/2022'

When I came to pay I handed the server the coupon and without looking at any details on it, he said that the offer stopped on 10/10/2022. Clearly on the back of the coupon are offer details highlighted. He just said that the manager has told them not to accept the coupons which obviously is not correct. When I refused to pay full price, he raised his voice and said the sandwich had already been prepared and I needed to pay it. This is infront of a line of customers so I felt very embarrased but when he tried to pull the wool over my eyes and bully me I refused still. He said ok this one time they will let me have the deal. The funny thing is, the button for the deal is on the main screen of the till so why are they saying they dont do it...

Enjoyed food. Always freshly prepared and fairly good choice considering they are of limited size. This is a fast food restaurant chain and the menu is the same in all of them I believe. They do not wait on tables. Very casual. Some of their restaurants (not really restaurants as such) have a few tables outside. They always wrap food and provide carrier bags. Then it is up to you where you eat. They do coffee or tea from paper or plastic cups. No choices, and in my opinion very basic and certainly not for the connoisseur! They have plenty pepsi and fizzy drinks usually. It is possible to have no meat and they have 1 vegetarian option but if you are strictly vegetarian I would not really recommend as all the containers are close together. They have a quite good selection of rolls (5or6 I think) which are nice toasted with cheese if you want it. You can select whatever salad ingredients you want and choose the size bread roll...

You can't go wrong with the rotisserie style double chicken on 9-grain, with cheese and toasted, topped with spicy chipotle! However, the place was understaffed at lunch, so all the tables had crumbs and sauce left over. The staff could've been more proactive in handling veg and non-veg orders. I had to ask them to change gloves, and they didn't even bother to inform us which one was which. 😐

Edit: Thank you for your response. 😊 To add to my original feedback, the store was nearly empty, with only one other customer ordering. The preparation of veg and non-veg items was done in front of us, which was transparent. However, as my colleague and I were engaged in conversation, our orders were placed on the counter without clear identification, leading to the confusion. This was not a complaint, but rather a constructive observation to help improve the service....
