The building (outside and inside) including the yard need some renovation. It looks quite worn down, gray and demotivating.
Having walked into the pub instantly you can tell that someone lives there and treats it as a home rather than a professional customer-orientated place. I think you cannot have a home and business in a single place - it just doesn’t work.
Everything is quite outdated and selection of drinks is very modest with just 3 or 5 to choose from.
I have found the customer service a bit unpleasant as apart from waiting for a while for someone to serve me in an empty pub, I got the looks when asked if I can try an ale I have not seen before. I have been told it’s weird of me asking and they are not supposed to, but as an exception I could try a sip.
The pub’s location is good and the potential this place has is also substantial in my opinion. Just a revamp can already make a noticeable difference. Well, all the best !

Read moreI only went for a surprise birthday party for my friend, who hired out the left side of the hall, so my input on the pub as a hole is rather limited. Although the staff are lovely, it took a very long time and several attempts on multiple occasions to get their attention, even though they were passing me by filling up dishwashers and getting ready to close down the night, which seem to be of more important than serving drinks . Which I could understand because I have worked in pubs myself, but from a customer perspective this isn’t good.
They have a big garden in the back which is quite nice and Corey , but it doesn’t have any heaters so it can be very cold.
My biggest worry was the floor in that room felt like it was going to collapse at any moment when people were dancing on it .
It is a little bit pricey, but no more than you would expect nowadays from a private pub rather than a typical Wetherspoons or a chain company- cost me around £50 for 3 yager bombs...
Read moreWould give this pub zero stars if I could. What an awful place to be. Left after about 15 minutes and happy to explain why.
After about 5 minutes or so some loud-mouthed moronic woman walked in swearing and borderline shouting her conversation...in front of a child of about 5. No-one in the pub, nor the manager/server said a word.
About 5 minutes later a man walked in, swearing, shouting, making threats of violence towards everyone in the pub, that he'd petrol bomb it, burn it to the ground, do everyone in there, etc, etc, etc.
Again the manager/server said nothing.
From this visit I'd say avoid this pub like the plague unless you're a scumbag. We walked out in disgust and what I was listening to was making me angry.
Management...if someone is making severe threats in your pub, kick them out, call the Police and ban them for life.
Fortunately I live very far from this pub and will never be in the area again, because if the area has clientele like...
