Well it's the first time for me, the service was good people and very accommodating and helpful was available on what types of fish you can get on certain days. I was probably going to go have a jerk chicken (which looks good)or beef curry however the only reason why I even went to fish because it was an older Jamaican man saying "fish is good for you good for you" and I said "true true" he said something about "if you don't have any energy that you can't do nothing" I responded again "true true" price of food all together was decent I had fried fish with rice and peas and macaroni cheese I decided not to get a drink because I already had a cup of tea on me so as good for a beverage.... However somebody else was going to purchase two drinks after me they bought a water and they bought was going to buy a Supermalt about the person asks about the price of the Supermalt and wheb to say "That is a bit extortionate" but to be fair and honest in this day and age in most businesses find it hard to make ends meet and considering where it is located I'm sure the prices of rent is the sky high ao people got to do what they got to do, I would like it to be know the lovely lady that severed the slightly obnoxious man (I say just because of his tone kept) her head down and said nothing which is probably the best response to somebody airing a grievance especially when she may not be able to do anything about it...... I will be back again to...
Read moreAs a tourist visiting London, for the first time, I was told that the Jamaican food was the best type of food to get in London my friend found this restaurant on TikTok so we went out of our way to Uber and try it. First things first let's talk about the horrible service at this restaurant, which is not surprising being that it is a Caribbean restaurant. They usually don't have good service, but the food will make up for it. That wasn't the case this time. Nobody acknowledged us when we came into the restaurant I had to ask to be seated. I ordered oxtails with rice and peas and vegetables. The oxtails were decent, but the rice was so mushy and the vegetables really didn't have much flavor. Honestly, I could've gotten a way better plate of Jamaican food in Florida. It was really a waste of my money. Then the icing on the cake. Here was the best part. I kept asking for gravy on my rice and kept getting ignored after the manager sat there and watched me finished all my food and put my garbage on top of the Food. He came up to me and asked if I still want the gravy on top of my rice I don't know what they're doing in that area of London, but that was probably the worst Jamaican food...
Read moreThe portion of Jerk Chicken is very generous with the Regular option (there are two to choose from: Regular/Large) being still more than enough for one, a bit hungry person. Good size for money - £8 for the chicken and £1.5 for the drink. The food was served really quickly after about 2 minutes.
The flavours are mainly sweat with a good tenderness of the meat.
I have a mixed feelings about the customer experience though. I got a weird, almost unwelcomed feeling. There was nothing in particular, just the staff attitude being a bit cold.
Also, as seen on the picture, I got served in the takeaway box even though I clearly asked if I can be seated outside. Normally I'd think that it is how they serve it when someone is seated outside, but two ladies who were seating right next two me, got served on the plates with a solid cutlery, a bit disappointing to be fair.
With that being said, I wanted to give it 4/5, but 1 hour after the meal, on my way home, I got ugly stomach fluctuations which couldn't have been caused by anything different than the food. Thanks to this,...
