So happy Hotpod Yoga opened up recently in my neighbourhood! As someone with hot yoga experience but new to hotpod, I absolutely love the concept. The pod, dim lighting and music create a calming atmosphere helping me disconnect and focus on myself instead of comparing myself to others and worrying about how sweaty I look.
It’s a little less hot than bikram yoga so definitely bearable for newbies too. The studio offers different types of classes and the instructors show variations so you can adjust based on your level as well.
The instructors are friendly, welcoming, and supportive. I appreciate that they often demonstrate the asanas themselves (rather than just giving verbal explanation) and also walk around to give corrections when needed.
I first did the trial and then signed up for the mini membership (one class per week) which suits my routine perfectly - I wish more studios offered this kind of plan! Booking online is very easy and I love that the mats are included too.

Read moreI had a class with Charl and really enjoyed the experience. The studio has a beautiful and calming vibe. Charl is a wonderful teacher — clear, detailed instructions with plenty of options for different levels, which made the practice feel accessible and supportive. I especially loved the finishing touch with the essential oil, it smelled amazing and left me feeling refreshed.
Plus- The location is super convenient, just a short walk from Elephant and Castle tube station. The studio is in a beautiful and chill neighbourhood with a lovely park, cafes, and restaurants nearby — I’d suggest planning some time before or after class to explore and relax. The studio's shower room is also very clean and tidy, so no worries if you work up a sweat during class.

She encouraged me. She was also very passionate about what she does and the postive impact yoga can have in your life and constantly referred to us slowing down and being more mindful in our daily lives.
