Lovely setting, wonderful tea, excellent cakes and scones, new friend made! My partner and I had the pleasure to enjoy pots of tea, cakes and scones at Tea Darling and it was the best experience we have had at a London tea house. The wonderful owner, Pam, saw to us and carefully explained the menu, asked about allergies, answered our questions and promptly served us a wonderful cream and cake tea service. Our tea, Joe's Tea, was perfectly served in a lovely bone China sets. The cakes and scones are hand made by Pam, who has a knack for baking! They were delicious! The scones came with cream and a choice of jam (we recommend blueberry or apricot). The cakes were delightfully light and flavored exceptionally. We were not rushed, and we had a chance to chat with Pam too. What a delightful woman with a kind and quick wit attitude. You will get a lovely tea experience and so much more. Well worth the trip away from central London or on your way to Kew Gardens. We...
Read moreA great find! Was looking for an afternoon tea to enjoy after a BUCS event in Horsenden hill. As not the centre of london, we were limited but struck upon Tea Darling, as it was highly rated and looked unique. Rating is totally justified, beautifully fresh sandwiches (only made once we were sat down), organic tea with no bitter aftertaste, gorgeous assortment of cakes and the best warm soft melty scones. Mmmm my tum thanks me and hates me all at the same time (just so much but I couldn’t turn any of it down). The space was filled with vintage china, bunting and classic 40s music. Despite being the only customers upstairs we were not rushed at all, spending over an hour and a half catching up and filling up. My only disappointment is I forgot to take photos - because my appetite took over. Simply put this is a truly classic afternoon tea done extremely well. I can only hope when the world resumes to ‘normal’ Tea Darling will be buzzing - as it...
Read more.Md Evans is partly correct. Tea Darling has gone from Questors - many months ago in fact! (it was only a long term pop-up @ this busy theatre) Pam has how found a new permanent home in Churchfield Road in Acton. She's only been open a few days but is already wowing her new locals with delicious home made cakes & tea served on beautiful vintage China. Pam runs her tea room with a great love for all things vintage - even the music playing is 40s - so there's no WiFi on offer: you'll have to have good old fashioned conversation - tee hee. I'm sure Acton will relish this wonderful addition to a street that has a real village feel - ideal for a welcoming a tea room with such a unique style. Pam also does bookable afternoon teas - & has vouchers on sale as Christmas presents - now there's a brilliant idea! It's a delightful & charming break from the 21st century - everybody needs a...
