Al Baladi — Restaurant in London

Not good at all. Firstly, long long wait to serve us, it was clear that locals being seated after us were being served before us which is suspect to say the least. Secondly, it took so long for food to arrive and whilst others were being served the complimentary bread, we did not and waited and then had to ask. Although we ordered plenty of drinks they still were really reluctant to give us any tap water. When food did eventually arrive some of order was missing. We ordered mixed sish and got 3 pieces of each sish which was absolute rip off. Altogether lunch for 2 adults and 2 kids came to £78 (they add 10% service charge automatically). Was not worth it. Whoever is rating this restaurant so highly has no idea what Lebanese food tastes like. We ordered through Uber Eats twice (first time was was not good at all but I wanted to give it a chance) and the food was below par that we did not finish what we ordered.. The tabbouleh was 70% onion and tasted like it has been made the day before and left in the fridge. The Bata harra was not made how we make it in Lebanon, full of tomatoes and the potatoes were fried to oblivion. I recently visited Al Baladi, Overall, my experience was positive, with some highlights and minor setbacks.

First, let’s talk about the pastries. The Lebanese pastries served at Al Baladi were a true delight. They were fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Each bite was a testament to the rich culinary traditions of Lebanon. From the flaky dough to the delectable fillings, these pastries were a definite highlight of my meal.
