We’re visiting London and heard amazing things about the alchemist from friends. We went and the server sat us. There was only one other table of two women who left while we were waiting. We needed a second to look at the menu and asked the waiter some questions about the drinks. She seemed very disinterested in helping us and not happy that we wanted time to look at the menu. We order two espresso martini’s and ended up waiting literally 20-30 minutes until they just started making the drinks. We work in the service industry (bartending) and we’re very surprised it took so long to just begin making the drinks. There was a table of managers and other staff at a back table. When we got up to leave one of us said it had taken too long and we had decided to leave. The bartender just said “oh sorry have a good day” from the other side of the bar and the waiter that serviced us was on her phone and laughed. I think there could be a massive improvement in this behaviour, it seemed like such a beautiful bar and environment - the service awful and honestly quite hurtful being laughed at for literally just waiting for what we ordered. Wouldn’t recommend.

I was lucky enough to attend the launch party at The Alchemist Monument last night, and what an experience! The new site is stunning, these guys know exactly how to deliver the perfect balance of an intimate, decadent, gorgeous venue with an electric atmosphere to match. The drinks? Insane. Theatrical cocktails that push mixology to the next level, served by a high-energy, super well-trained team who are attentive, friendly, and absolutely on point. The music was on fire, setting the perfect vibe for the night. The Alchemist nails hospitality every single time, and this new spot is no exception. Huge well done to the team, you guys rock!

I visited The Alchemist near Monument (close to London Bridge) and had an amazing experience. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the decor was stunning — such a cool and immersive vibe throughout the place. Every staff member, from the security at the door to the hostess and the barman, was friendly, welcoming, and professional. It really made a difference to the whole experience. Despite its central location, the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Don’t let the postcode put you off — this place delivers on all fronts. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and will definitely be back!

My friend and I came here the other night as she had really wanted to go after hearing all the amazing reviews online. The servers and staff were friendly and the place had a nice atmosphere. However, after we ordered our 2 drinks ( one each ) which although very impressive to see, they weren’t quite our kinda taste, which is more our preferences than an issue with the place, so we asked for the bill. What we didn’t know is that we’d been charged for water and table service. Table service wasn’t an issue as that’s completely understandable, but £4 for a bottle water seemed very pricey, especially since most places will give you water for free. I’m not sure if this is just a London thing as we’re from Lincoln originally, it just felt cheeky to charge £4 for water, when we were unaware it would even cost and the fact that by the time we got the bill we’d only had...

The cocktails are OK they have dry ice in most and fire in some. It's about £15 a cocktail. Firstly you don't get much alcohol for the price. Secondly they had a book with interesting trivia about each cocktail but they never really used it and when they tried there was no trivia on the cocktail we ordered. Also my friends bank card started to stop working but it worked fine when we moved on. But the thing that bugged me the most was I ordered a tequila sunrise they knew the recipe but is not on their menue. but given that cocktails are there USP I was very disappointed they did not have the different densities if liquid separate. You meant to have 3 or at least 2 visible layers in the drink and it's meant to slowly mix creating a sun set effect. They failed to do this it was all one color and tasted like it only had one shot of...
