Been thinking about trying here for a while. My colleague said he had something good here before so we went yesterday. Food was ok. I went for the most expensive thing which was ham, cheese and truffle. It looked good in the picture. Looking at the menu (it’s not a wide selection) so assumed they’re very good at the small number of sandwiches they do. It came out almost immediately which was good but also slightly suspicious. On eating it I found the bread to be tasty and there was plenty of truffle so tick and tick but the overall taste of it wasn’t great. I think it was the cheese which let it down. Service was efficient and polite. We got takeaway so can’t comment on atmosphere properly. Tried it but I probably won’t go again unless they change the menu and I have a hankering for bread.

Recommended to this place and thought I would come by before their opening hours as 9:30 seems a little late for a sandwich shop in the CBD area - and was glad they are opened at 08:30! đŸ‘đŸ» Enquired with the staff about the timing and he said there’s usually someone in here by 0800, so do not expect to be in early unless you are passing by. đŸ„Ș ordered the truffle ham sandwich to go and thought it was a really huge chunk of goodness at first glance, however i didn’t like that it didn’t had a generous enough ham on there, as i struggled to find the flavour of the ham with each bite - the truffle and bread were good though. Overall a good place to get your sandwich fix for sure!

As an Italian, it’s a piece of heart always melts when eating good focaccia. Excellent crunchy focaccia with soft interior. HOWEVER, for the price (£8.50) it should have a bit more filling, otherwise it’s too much bread. Also, you cannot choose any flavours because they are pre-made. Lastly, it should be heated more- for example the taleggio cheese inside one of the sandwiches was cold. Should be an option to add extra salt & oil. The nutty ham was the best of the two we tried. £18.5 for two foccacie and a water was very reasonable for London.

My recent visit to Bread and Truffle was extremely disappointing. Despite its intriguing name, the menu hardly justifies the “truffle” part, with only one truffle-related item available.

We ordered the Twisted Caprese and Purple Emoji sandwiches. The Twisted Caprese was a disaster—soggy, bland, and completely lacking seasoning. The Purple Emoji was even worse, featuring old, blackened aubergines that seemed expired, barely any hummus, and an unpleasantly wet texture. When I asked for additional sauce or extra hummus, I was told neither was available. Upon further questioning, I discovered that the sandwiches aren’t even made in-house—they’re delivered daily. This seriously undermines any expectation of freshness.

We also tried the tuna sandwich, which was simply horrendous—unappetizing in appearance and taste, resembling something best left undescribed.

Overall, the food quality was abysmal, and the experience did not live up to the promise of the name or the reputation this cafĂ© might have been aiming for. I won’t...

I recommended Bread & Truffle for a work lunch and we placed an order ahead of time for 20 on Deliveroo. Driver came straight to us from pick up, but all the food was cold, focaccias were stale and it looks like the team at Eastcheap gave up marking what was what after 3 initials, NH (nutty ham). No other meals were marked, and we had to start unwrapping each others' food, lifting the bread to find out what we had ordered. So disappointed, they're ok for one (if you don't order ahead if time so you don't get stale food), but not for groups. *Edit, thanks for reaching out, Giovanni, it was an order placed for delivery 12.30-1pm Thursday 19 December. Won't place another large order as it was too disorganised with...
