Warning False Advertising!

I had a very disappointing experience in this place. I've been following The Athenian for a while on their Instagram page. The pictures of their wraps all look so generously filled to the brim. I raved about this place to my friends and we went there for the last day of their visit to London.

We were excited and ordered, however when the food was ready, we went to pick it up from the counter. It looked nothing remotely like the images they have on Instagram. You notice they always post these fake images, especially from this girl called 'Fit Waffle' where she has these wraps that look huge and generously filled.

However, that wasn't the case. The wraps we got given barely had any filling. A few shreds of salad and meat, hardly any fries. Comparing it to their advertised pictures was laughable. We were very disappointed, for the price you'd think they'd give you something worth it.

We were still hungry after that tiny overpriced wrap so went next door to another stall to get something which was more reasonable.

The man who took our order was polite enough, but we saw him bring up the food specially to these two young ladies at their table but totally ignore us. What great service!

We couldn't help but feel that this business is dishonest and suggest that you stop false advertising. Your customers will just end up disappointed.

Today I went to the Shoreditch branch. The food was lovely but the customer service was massively disappointing. Ordered via a tablet and thought why not go all in, the food looked great. Ordered a premium box with 2 sauces which came up to around £11. Waited patiently (I understand the venue was very busy on a Saturday night) but, when they called my order number, I was handed a gyro. I told the server that I had ordered a box. The server apologised, returned to the back, took a few more minutes before handing me the box.

I knew I shouldve checked it before I left, but, it was late and I didnt want my food to get cold as I was returning home. However, when I did get home, I opened the box and half my order was missing! It was a standard box with one sauce - at least they had remembered not to put onions and parsley.

Disappointed as I paid good money for a lacking box and was really looking forward to my dinner. It was delicious I must say, but a bit too expensive (considering)...

I have been to this place plenty of times- all times which service and customer service could not be faulted. However, I came last week with my friend and after he had payed and we collected the order, it was not the right one. To which, the lady said” we would have to pay extra”... for something she got wrong? We came back again today, and ordered the gyros box, to which the man charged us wraps and when I corrected it he replied” it sounded like wraps but whatever I can change it”. I collected my food, and the boxes were slammed onto the counter and before I even got to thank them ( for their bad customer service) the man said “ you’re welcome” with a smile on his face. It’s such a shame that the standards of customer service are declining at this place, as it was our favourite stall in the boxpark however, after today’s account, we will not...
