🚇 Kennington 🍺 £6.00 Heineken ❤️ A welcoming Kennington boozer that appeared on the big screen. . The Black Prince is located in a residential side street just off busy Kennington Road. The nearest tube is Kennington which is around a five walk away. . This pub may be familiar to you as it features in the film The Kingsman. The pub was used in a couple of scenes, one scene was prior to Harry (Colin Firth’s) bar fight beating up the local wideboys and one where Eggsy (Taron Egerton) did donuts in a Subaru (link to scene in bio) . This is a traditional pub which has a central bar taking centre stage. The bar is clad in dark wood and has a wonderful “Double Diamond” sign at the top. Around the walls are knights shields with different types of heraldry symbols. This pub is big on showing live sporting events, I managed to catch the second half of the Fulham v Liverpool game whilst visiting. At the back of the pub is a cosy sun-trap beer garden which also has a TV showing sport. . The beer choice was full of popular keg options and also two cask. I chose a pint of Heineken which was nice enough and average London lager price. The food menu is full of traditional British favourites and a variety of comfort options, fish and chips cost £15. On Sundays, hearty roast dinners are available but be sure and book in advance. . I visited mid afternoon on a Saturday and the pub had a fair few in and the atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed. The clientele was a mix of locals and some pub crawlers. I was served by a nice member of staff who served with a smile. . The @theblackprincepub is a very welcoming pub and definitely one for the traditionalist’s and lovers of live sport. I really enjoyed visiting this quality SE11 pub, get it on your list. . ℹ️ Information correct on...

I went to the black prince today for a family Sunday lunch. During Covid you worry about whether it's safe to go to the pubs etc. However it was clear to see that they have taken control of the situation perfectly. The tables were continuously cleaned, there were facemasks at the door in case you'd forgotten it, the toilets checked regularly and I even saw the staff check their temperature, the care taken shows that they care about the staff and their customers. The waitress knew exactly who was arriving and had a list of reserved tables the communication between her and the kitchen was brilliant. When moving around the pub you had to wear your mask but when seated with your family and eating it was fine to remove it. On arrival I was greeted by all staff members in the pub, in particular Jazeena was extremely friendly and helpful, she is certainly an asset to the pub. As mentioned above we had the Sunday lunch, between us we had the pork belly, lamb and chicken and these were all absolutely beautifully prepared, the food was delivered to the table hot and the service was efficient and effective. We were asked if we needed anything further and if we were enjoying the meal and even got a doggy bag to take home. We all left completely content. The atmosphere was pleasent and family friendly, there was a TV for the sports fans and some music playing at a reasonable level too. An ideal place to take the family. 5 stars from us. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you very much for a...

AVOID AVOID AVOID OR BEWARE Only gave a 1star as wanted to leave feed back does not deserve any stars would give minus five if applicable BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE of this establishment is a crooked dishonest place with a rude obnoxious arrogant manager called Luke They will give you all the smiles and grace but they WILL rob you especially if your of a certain elderly age or tourist Have been to this place a few times with my father In law and each time they have massively over charged him but on the third occasion the bill was almost three times as much as it should of been ( they got a bit greedy this time ) after we had payed the bill it was noticed that we had been robbed and it was questioned. they tried to amend the bill after being rude about the situation and on doing so they still short changed him of £20 when this was taken to the manager Luke he's stated that there was no way that he was " outing another score ( £20) this time " when clearly my father was entitled to the short change he also stated to his staff that "oh god not another one " as to imply we was not the only customer to be complaining today about how he clearly purposely robs customers he then became very abusive and to be honest his reaction was so extreme that I wouldn't be surprised if he's getting high on his supply Any how I just want to WARNNING TO ALL CUSTOMERS TO CHECK BILLS AND WAYS OF PAYMENT AS THEY WILL ROB YOU AT ANY GIVEN CHANCE DISHONEST FAKE...

This is where they filmed one of the bar scenes in the Kingsman movies. And this place is not a gimmic. I was actually shocked they don’t play into it like I thought they would. But this place is truly beautiful. It’s not a rowdy man’s pub like some think it might be it’s actually a very relaxing place to be. It could be a different story later at night but we had a good experience. I had the bacon and jam burger and it was SOOO GOOD! My girlfriend had the chicken sandwich which she thought was good but wished she would’ve gotten a burger instead because the burger was so much better than the chicken. Also, Monday and Friday they do half off burgers as of the time of making this review. It’s a deal you really can’t pass up. Also, their weekend brunch menu has some really good prices. The owner and bartender was very kind and made sure our experience was good.
