This place is such a gem! My fiancé and I felt like we got the real English pub experience. You order from a QR code and the bartenders will bring the food to you. We came on a Monday night around 7 pm and food was 50% off. They had a happy hour deal on drinks as well. We got a chicken apple salad, fish and chips, and bangers and mash for 20 pounds. Two draft beers (a Guinness and a pale ale) were 13 pounds. The bartenders also had great recommendations for beers and their tasting profile. What a steal! And the food was delicious too.
Itâs definitely a place where you get to be off on your own and have a conversation with your friends. The wait staff only come around to clean cups and plates from the inside and outdoor seating areas. Itâs a great place to hang out to have a beer and chat with friends. The outside area also has a spot for you to play darts. Marking this place down as a favorite pub to watch sports, grab a drink and eat a quick dinner. Thanks for a...
Read morePubs fairly dull, the food was probably the basic food order you could ever have. Two Portions of 18 Buffalo wings and two portions of chips.
Waiter/barman still managed to get that wrong served us 11 wings each and when we questioned where was our portion of 18 which was clearly on the menu, we were told they donât do 18 only 12 which they still managed to get wrong so chef cannot count so not ideal.
Wings may as well have been from a Pigeon and probably did, was supposed to be in Buffalo sauce well there must be a buffalo Sauce shortage because I had to ask for more, when they did eventually bring it over it was in a paper thimble which confirms the shortage.
Chips were average asked for cheesy chips, they literally banged the chips in the microwave to melt it, was...
Read moreIf you're going to offer table bookings on match days - there is absolutely no excuse not to honour them. To get to the pub expecting to get in and sit down, only to then be told that bookings aren't being honoured is an absolute joke. Now we're stuck with nowhere to go, because everywhere's full and we don't have a booking.
If you had simply told customers ahead of time that bookings wouldn't be honoured, you'd have avoided this entire situation. Instead this pub opted for the shortsighted, money-grubbing tactic of keeping their bookings going to ensure they made a bit of cash... For the day.
Just another pub that posted about support for pubs during Covid, but as soon as they've got themselves a busy day it's money over customers. Not a chance I'd recommend this...
