Warm, inviting, calm atmosphere with music which was reminiscent of being on telephone hold! Server was attentive and courteous. Greek salad flavour was over powered by the white onions- ought to be red for this salad, black olives also would have been preferred as is traditional as opposed to green. Good overall, very fresh, crisp salad. One thing that surprised me was being told that I could not use my laptop as it was weekend - busy times. This did me a favour- kept me away from work and focused on the world around me! I will be back! I can see their point people just sit for too long tapping and taking up space for others!

There’s a small café on a corner in SE4 called George’s. You could almost walk past it, which would be a mistake. The brunches are excellent — fresh produce, cooked and served with care. I had the eggs royal: perfectly poached eggs, proper hollandaise, everything well balanced. My partner devoured an omelette. The staff are warm and genuinely friendly. The coffee’s great - strong, but not aggressive, and - like the food offering - always consistent. The place is spotless and has an easy, relaxed atmosphere. Best of all, it’s not trying to be anything other than a really good local café.

Really nice little breakfast or brunch spot!! Cute interior, nicely done. Lovely friendly service and food made fast. Ice coffees really nice. Food itself is really good. Presented very well. All fresh and good quality ingredients. Decent size portion. Tastes delicious! I love the salmon scrambled eggs avocado combo which they do. The scrambled eggs were also nice and fluffy and wet rather than some dry ones you get at cafes. Perfect place for a special family brunch or cute catch up with friends.

A Hidden Gem in Brockley, The Perfect Breakfast Spot!

If you’re in Brockley and in need of a proper breakfast and a seriously good cup of coffee, look no further than this little gem. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and inviting. The kind of place that makes you want to slow down and enjoy the morning.

The coffee is outstanding clearly made by people who care about the craft. Whether you’re into flat whites, pour-overs, or just a classic espresso, they get it right every single time. Rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced.

The breakfast menu is equally impressive. I had the smashed avocado on sourdough with poached eggs, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had in London, fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked eggs, and just the right seasoning. My friend tried the full English and couldn’t stop raving about it. Portions are generous without being overwhelming, and everything feels thoughtfully prepared.

What really makes this place shine, though, is the staff. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. It’s rare to find service that feels this personal in such a laid-back setting.

Whether you’re popping in for a quick takeaway or lingering over brunch with friends, this place delivers on all fronts. It’s fast becoming my go-to morning spot in Brockley.

Highly recommended, a real standout in the...

I am writing this comment to express my deep dissatisfaction with the incident that occurred during my recent visit to your cafe. I have been a patron of your establishment before, but during my visit yesterday, I was falsely accused of not paying for my previous visit, without any evidence to support this claim. It was only after I demanded to review surveillance footage and firmly denied the allegations that the staff finally believed me. However, this experience has caused me significant emotional distress, and I have felt upset throughout the entire day.

As a customer, I have always valued the service and reputation of your restaurant. Therefore, being wrongly accused of dishonesty has deeply affected my trust in your establishment. The baseless accusation, made without any proof, has caused me undue stress and emotional harm.

I would like to emphasize that I have always been a responsible customer and have never encountered such an issue before. The incident has left me feeling humiliated and frustrated. It is disheartening to think that a place I once enjoyed visiting would subject me to such unwarranted...

George's cafe is a lovely little place to have a nice lunch. I've got a bad back and its so comfy. Basic things like jacket potatoes, breakfasts and omelettes are elevated to a really tasty treat. The best thing is the staff though they are all excellent. You can see where the cooking is happening which is nice. I used to take my 96 year old mum there for lunch but she is now housebound so I sometimes get a takeaway for her but its not the same as she doesn't see the lovely staff who ask after her when I pop in, but its the next best thing. HIghly recommend the vegetarian and vegan breakfasts. Mum loved the egg and chips as they were cooked to perfection. I've tried to duplicate but she says I don't do it...
