The Bun Club — Restaurant in London

Visited on Saturday night and had a very nice meal. A few observations that would take this place to the next level, first the interior design is great however like with all these type of restaurant the acoustics have not been considered and therefore the noise level are off the scale, sound absorbing panels on the walls and ceiling are urgently needed, second I ordered a glass of New Zealand Sav Blanc, after tasting it I questioned the staff as it was not right, turns out the wine listed was not in stock, yes I know a complete wine snob!! I ordered the surf and turf disappointed with three prawns thrown on the top, but the burger was very good. Finally the ice cream used in the desert was not the best again very disappointing. I took my son for dinner, it was a Thursday evening, the place wasn't busy at all. I've been before & had previously enjoyed it but this evening was very disappointing. It took just under an hour for our food to be served. People who came on after us served first.. I ordered cod burger with no tartare sauce. The food came with tartar sauce, I told the waitress she said what do you want me to do? I said take it away & bring no tartare sauce, she said ill leave your chips. I said I'd like the whole meal together as the chips would get cold. I ended up asking for a takeaway, the waitress asked me what was wrong! Like seriously!! We have been to the Bun Club several times and have always been made to feel so welcome by the lovely friendly staff and the burgers are outstanding - especially the classic cheeseburger and the Mexican! I also love trying the specials when we eat in.

Such a great addition to Sutton’s independent restaurants. The decor, food and the atmosphere are of a much higher standard than the eateries on the main high street.

Also wanted to say a special thank you to Joe - we placed an order with Uber Eats and didn’t realise that chips were sold separately. He hand delivered them to us free of charge which was so kind and not expected at all!
