The Bungalow Cafe of Wanstead — Restaurant in London

Came with my son today (13.09.21) for a coffee, a bite to eat & a catch up before he has to board a plane bound for New York. The coffee presentation was emmaculate and the way that the girl in charge handled a customer's bad & disruptive behaviour was commendable!! Even a fellow customer spoke up against the disruptive customer & praised the girl who was in charge at the way she handled the situation and defused it. Suffice to say that I will come again for the staff friendliness and the superb coffees. Overall, a good place to come for a fab coffee and the owners ought to be proud to have Jade in charge of the Bungalow Cafe as she has done a superb job at representing the Bungalow...

Well heard about this place for years but never been but decided to go today after hard days work. So the food is excellent as cafes go- the bacon and sausages were quality eggs were perfect and bead nice, however I ordered an extra sausage at time of order and it was not on the plate, plus there were about 7-8 small mushrooms as well :( I then ordered the dessert apple crumble with custard which was excellent however too much crumble and not enough apples and not a lot of custard for the price you pay. Fantastic breakfast. great value for money. Now many report of the breakfast but they missed the best - LUNCH traditional English dinners wow portion size well amazing - boiled bacon, roast veg extra gravy and if you can still eat apple pie £ 7.95 for a roast - who needs a carvery so much meat how do they make it pay? Know this place for over 30 years and the standards only get better ..... Parking can be a pain so thank the council for that - there are car parks short walk away though ... Lovely staff.
