The Flying Horse — Restaurant in London

Shockingly rude arrogant staff. Disgusting. Uptight and aggressive small little girl with zero people skills thinks she was really something else. After standing at the bar for 5 minutes watching her sit at the end of the bar playing with her phone i politely asked asked if anyone was available to serve to which she aggressively shouted back at me across the bar infront off other paying guests 'i told you to wait'. Its a bar job. Who on earth did she think she was. Immediately walked out and went down the road to the Red Lion which is so much better. I live and work in the area and have noticed her rudness before but not to that extent. I have friends that no longer drink there because of this miserable little girl. I see why now. Management please send her home, or at least on a people...

My brother in law recommended the Flying Horse as a venue for a family meet up. Conveniently situated near Liverpool St station, and we were able to book a table for seven attendees. It wasn't overly busy for a Saturday night, and the atmosphere was quite relaxed, with a varied crowd. The drinks menu pretty much had something for everyone, and was reasonably priced(for London). The only gripe was that the food took a while, and was short on advertised ingredients(no mushy peas served with the pie and mash, one meat topping on a pizza instead of 3). This was raised, but no response was received, nor any reason given. I guess that as it was fairly late in the day, some of the ingredients ran out. Great venue to visit after a stressful day at work. Definitely one of my favs in the area. Delicious pizza and a good range of ales. I do like the return of the live music, which makes it even better place to spend the evening. Always friendly and super nice staff. Except yesterday, when we were refused to be served by Alejandro, no explanation followed..

We didn’t want to ruin our evening and argue so we simply moved to the Red Lion and spend couple more hours there. I’ve known a lot of good managers there but this is the first time I left the pub with a sour feelings. Sad to see how one person can ruin the years of positive experience.
