I recently visited this restaurant for a friend’s birthday. Our group was seated in a private room due to its size, and while the décor and lighting were elegant, the overall experience was incredibly disappointing.
Myself and one other on this occasion were not drinking for religious and personal reasons, I informed our waiter that we would not be drinking alcohol and requested a separate bill to make payment easier for the group. The waiter initially confirmed this was fine. However, within minutes, a manager abruptly entered the room and, in a rude and dismissive manner, insisted that everyone had to participate in the brunch—either with alcoholic drinks or mocktails—at the same price, with no option for separate billing. We were left with no choice but to comply.
The pricing policy itself is unreasonable, as non-drinkers were charged the same as those consuming alcohol. To make matters worse, the only two mocktail options available were poorly crafted—overly sour, unpleasant, and largely undrinkable. I couldn’t even finish one and resorted to drinking water. There were no basic soft drinks or simple fruit juices offered as part of the package, and any alternatives had to be paid for separately. If the restaurant insists on charging non-drinkers the same rate, it should at least provide a more enjoyable selection of beverages.
Even those who opted for alcoholic drinks were disappointed. The cocktails were overwhelmingly salty, sharp, and sour, to the point that one guest had to send hers back after nearly choking on its bitterness. Service was also slow, with drinks not being replenished efficiently as one would expect from a “bottomless” brunch. Additionally, prosecco required an extra £10 charge, which felt excessive given those who did drink it felt it was awful too and left a bad after taste.
Beyond the drinks, the brunch itself lacked value for money. There was no entertainment, despite it being advertised. The food was also underwhelming—I ordered steak and eggs, which was supposed to include hollandaise sauce, but it arrived dry and poorly presented. I had to request the sauce separately, which, while not a major issue on its own, reflected a lack of attention to detail, especially considering the premium pricing. The overall service felt disorganised and inattentive.
The only positives were that we enjoyed the steak, fries, and mac & cheese. However, these small wins were completely overshadowed by the poor service, rude management, and lack of value. To top it off, despite the sluggish service throughout, staff were extremely prompt in bringing us the bill just before closing at 4 PM—without us even requesting it.
As someone who has always been a fan of Gaucho, regularly visiting the O2 branch and the Tower Hill Igloos with great experiences, this visit was a huge disappointment. The previous brunch offering was far superior, and this branch is seriously letting down the brand. Given the poor service and lack of value for money, I will not be returning or recommending this...

Had a reservation and all guests except one arrived on time. They refused to seat us for about 30 minutes because of the late guest.
I ordered a sugar margarita and explained that the salt should be replaced with sugar. They ignored my request and gave me a salty margarita instead. I sent it back to be fixed about 4 times and they just kept sending me back the same salty margarita (I knew it was the same as they all came back with my lipstick on them). After sending back the 4th drink, the bartender came and asked how I wanted it and still managed to make it salty once again. In the end, I gave up and had 2 salty margaritas.
The guest that came late hadn't seen how much I had drank and he's the one that paid my bill. They charged him for 8 margaritas when I had only had 2. Considering they're £12 each, they overcharged him by £72 PLUS the service charge that comes with the extra cost. A friend of mine who used to go there regularly told me that this is something they have a habit of doing when they're serving a large group. They add drinks to the bill because they think you won't notice.
The crab starter was very nice; great combination of flavours. The steak was not nice at all. It came undercooked in the middle section and had the texture of jelly. They cooked it a little more for me and then it became dry. The taste itself was not nice either. Not what I was expecting considering the price. Chips were not that great and salad was plain.
The Brazilian cheesy bread balls are amazing though and the decor...
Read moreI’ve been to a few Gaucho restaurants around the UK and I have never had a bad experience. But this Gaucho by far was the worst one I have ever been to, from the moment I walk in the lady at the reception is very miserable and unwelcoming.
The waiter was unwelcoming as well and very pushy, trying to force us a long with our order. It was also my birthday, and I have just suffered an accident on the way here that has nothing to do with them. But I had suffered 3rd degree burns , so when I arrived I was distressed and in server pain, and I wouldn’t of continued to come but I had made a booking and I was excited to come here. I asked for some ice for my burn and they provided it and I wrapped my hand up and the waiter was giving my dirty looks. I explained to her what happened and I asked her if she had a first aid kit to perhaps just have some bandage, she said she would get back to me. But guess what she never came back, she could of atleast came back and said no she doesn’t have it. But I heard the waiters gossiping about me and my burn, which is very unprofessional.
I found it hysterical that they added a service charge. I was not about to pay for their rubbish service, if they had done a decent job and been a lot more friendlier then I wouldn’t of had an issue with the service charge. But save yourself the hassle and go to a different gaucho, where they will appreciate you...
