🚇 Forest Hill 🍺 £4.85 Madri A Warm and Friendly Community Local. The Hill is located on Dartmouth Road in Forest Hill in South East London. The nearest station is Forest Hill Overground, it’s a four minute walk to get here. This shop conversion pub started life in 1980 as the Forest Barn. The pub changed names a couple of times to the Malt Shovel and then the Question Bar. Today The Hill is owned and run by @craftunionpubs . This is a one bar pub that has a modern feel with traditional touches. The servery is located on the right and has a solid wood counter. There is plenty of comfortable seating plus two booths with screens at the back left. There are also stools along the servery which was great to see. Opposite the booths is a pool table, just behind the pool table is a door leading to a small courtyard beer garden. The beer line was mix of mainstream beers and cider plus one cask ale. I decided on a pint of Madri, my pint was excellent and pleasingly cost less than a fiver. This pub doesn’t serve food but there are bar snacks available. We arrived around 12.30pm on a mild Saturday lunchtime in February. There were a dozen or so punters in dotted around the bar. The atmosphere was upbeat with the majority of punters watching the Brentford v Liverpool game. The service was brilliant, we were served by a lovely Lady who was warm, welcoming and was chatting with us at the bar. We had never visited this pub before and we immediately felt right at home. This pub has loads on to keep you entertained. The pool table is free on a Monday after 7pm and there is also killer pool on a Tuesday. The pub shows all live premier league and boxing. There are also Poker, Karaoke and DJ nights and not forgetting the meat raffle on a Sunday. Visiting @thehillforesthill was a great pub experience. This is a fantastic community local that looks after its punters in every way. The service was great and the beer prices were the best in the area. This pub is well worth a visit if you’re in this neck of the woods. ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 17.02.24

Sadly The Hill Pub has been allowing anti-social individuals meet inside/operate in surrounding streets, and are disturbing the local businesses and families with lack of trust for the new management/landlord in the Forest Hill conservation area. 12 police officers raid last night April 9, 7:30pm regarding 3 individuals the police told us. Neighbours are confirming the police are monitoring the anti-social individuals.

Enjoyed a truly scrumptious afternoon tea here. Wonderful small garden, with an array of different potted herbs to smell. Inside is beautifully presented and complete with grand piano. Excellent service and well worth a visit!

I recently visited THE HILL and I have to say, it’s quickly become one of my favorite spots in FOREST HILL. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with friendly faces behind the bar.

The drink selection is impressive—whether you're into craft beers, classic cocktails, there's something for everyone.

The service was top-notch too. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and really makes you feel at home.

Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great time, whether you’re popping in for a quick pint or settling in for a long evening of good food, drinks,...
