🚇 Kennington 🍺 £4.70 Fosters ❤️ A warm welcome awaits you at this proper locals pub. . The Kings Arms is located on Kennington Lane and is a five minute walk from Kennington Tube station. . There has been a pub on this site since 1850 and remarkably it has been rebuilt twice. This pub was built by Watney’s in the 1930’s. . The decor here bright, airy and simple. The bar is located at one end and is clad in pale blue tongue & groove panels, above the bar are a couple of TV’s which sit above the optics. At the back of the pub there is an adjoining room which leads to a good size beer garden complete with gazebos. Throughout the pub is a proper red pub carpet which adds to the oldschool feel of the place. . The beer choice is straightforward and full of well known commercial brands. I choose a pint of Fosters which was a lively pint and really hit the spot on this hot summers day. I couldn’t see any food offering but the bar was well stocked with Tayto’s and Pringles. . I visited around 3pm on a Saturday afternoon and there was a very welcoming feel on arrival. I was served by a very nice lady who was chatting to a group of locals gathered near the bar. The crowd here was older, the bulk of which were watching the horse racing on the telly. The pub was gearing up for a 60th party that evening which rubber stamps this pub as a community hub. . This pub is a fantastic example of why we should support our local pubs. This pub provides a place for the community to gather, interact and celebrate. I have never visited this pub before and I was instantly made to feel welcome, a sign of a well run pub. The Kings Arms was a marvellous experience and I can’t recommend it highly enough. . ℹ️ Information correct on...

Read moreWhat a pub this is. Been coming here for years and by far my favourite pub in London. Just in terms of a pure pub it's brilliant - well nice pints for really fair prices. Proper London pub feeling, both old locals, visitors and new locals. Everyone getting on. Now with a ridiculously nice beer garden too. Started coming here as they were nice enough to buy kits for our 5 aside team when we were like 20/21, and now 30/31 and the place is probably better than its ever been. While it's had a ton of improvements over last few years, it never lost what makes it great there. Have had multiple birthdays here, had best England watching experiences of my life, and recently told them my mate was celebrating his first marathon - and instead of just the last-minute table i was hoping for - they did much, much more. It was properly kind. Martin is an incredibly good and funny man - and the rest of the team are amazing too. Thanks a lot...
