🚇 Kennington 🍺 £5.60 Amstel ❤️ A charming pub located on a beautiful Georgian square in the heart of Kennington. . I last visited here four years ago and I really enjoyed spending time in this pub. I walked past here back in August and it was great to see the pub busy and in full bloom. . This pub is located on the corner of a beautiful Georgian square and only a five minute walk from Kennington tube. . This is a pretty little pub and has had a subtle update since I last visited. One thing that I love about this place is how cosy and homely the ambiance is. . The beer choice is full of familiar favourites and has four cask options available. The food menu is quintessentially British and reasonably priced, on Sundays sumptuous roasts are served. . The @princeofwaleskennington is set in a beautiful location and is a fantastic example of what a British pub should be. Kennington has a strong and diverse selection of pubs, if you’re visiting the area be sure to put The Prince of Wales at the top of your list. . 📊 Information correct on visiting 06/08/22

Read moreAs we were coming from California, we wanted to experience the British Sunday Roast. Fortunately the Prince of Wales Has an extended time on theirs. Most pubs seem to close it down about four. Since we were attending evensong at Saint Pauls that would not have worked.
The pub is sent in a beautiful little neighborhood. And if you are into finding places off the beaten track, with only locals, this is the spot! My wife had the 28 day dry aged roasted beef, and I had the roasted lamb. It came with veggies and Yorkshire pudding as well as the appropriate sauces. Everything was exactly on point! They have quite a few beers on tap as well as siders, and a full bar. The sticky toffee pudding is not to be missed! Additionally, all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. We tend to be friendly people who strike up conversations and we did so with the people seated next to us. They were surprised that we had found the spot. But conversations were not simply started by us… The patrons welcomed us as one of the locals Making for a wonderful...
Read moreAlways rude. It's a lovely pub and I love visiting it, but I have to say this, the male bartender is always so rube, abrupt, unwelcoming. As if he hates his job, or foreigners, or women. Or all the above. Too bad, poor staff to lessen the experience of enjoying this place.
As google doesn't let me reply to the lovely response of the manager, let me just say scrolling down to other comments about poor management, rude manager etc. do justify what I am saying. I was feeling sick and needed to use the facilities. You are always so rude, never greet with smile that all of the friends that I have brought over have mentioned it. But hey, why would you bother? It's a lovely but tiny pub, perhaps you should care about the locals talking to each other and do your job, which among others involves people skills and mouth muscles...
