Worst customer service ever! Staff was very rude. The blonde lady who claimed herself to be the manager on duty at lunch time (1:30pm) on Friday 26th of Aug is the rudest manager I've ever encountered in my life. My work involves customer service and I can say that she doesn't deserve to have that kind of job with her disgusting attitude. Me and my son was seating outside while my friend was ordering the food when my son complained about being too hot so we moved inside. My friend was in the toilet when the food came, the "manager" gave me a rude look and said "you cannot sit inside with a kid, kids aren't allowed inside", so I said "we have been sitting here for a while and no one told us, I didn't know because I've been to some pubs and he was allowed inside" then she said "yes some pubs but not this pub, we don't have the licence to have kids inside", i said "maybe there should be a sign outside or something" and she said "don't argue with me, this is London, this is the law, don't break the law in my pub", I said "oh you own this pub?", "she said "yes", now please someone get back to me to show me the picture of the owner of this pub to confirm that she is actually the owner of this pub because I want to know. Then we went outside to see there weren't any table free for us so she said "so what do you want me to do with your food? It's really busy in the bar I need to get back there", I said "there's no table, what do you want me to do?", she said "I don't know, I'll leave your food by the bar", and walked out. Luckily when my friend got back he spoke to the ladies on one table outside to respectfully asked how long they will be staying there and explained the situation and the ladies kindly moved inside after 5 mins. This kind of people shouldn't be working in a customer service oriented industry as it can affect and even ruin the day of people who just wanted to chill and have a nice meal with thier family. I will be waiting for a response from my...
Read moreI had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Marquis of Granby, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The pub itself has a warm, inviting atmosphere, with a great balance of traditional charm and modern comfort. The selection of drinks is excellent, and the food was really delicious.
What really made the experience exceptional, though, was the staff. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and taken care of. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a smile, and the service throughout the evening was amazing. The team clearly takes pride in their work, and it shows in everything they do.
Whether you're popping in for a pint or settling in for a meal, I can't recommend the Marquis of Granby enough. A true gem, with top-notch service and an atmosphere that makes you want to return again and again. Five stars...
Read moreDidn’t get food so can’t attest to that. The inside is decorated very nicely (love the spring-y feel and pride flag). Classic pub feel and wide selection on draught. However, staff refused to accept my flatmate’s non-British (but in english with clear DOB&photo) ID. She doesn’t look 18 so not sure what that was about. Thankfully had some British ID but if you were visiting I doubt you’d be served unless you were very clearly over 25, with your passport in hand. Staff said that no other pub in London would accept her ID even though after living here for a year that has never rung true. Bar lady seemed somewhat apologetic but it was honestly quite frustrating as a local. We’ve been here before and not been carded so this was really odd and off-putting. If you want a pub that does the job this one’s fine but I’d definitely consider others in the area first, as they’re...
