Update of original review below ...

I have decided to update this review to a 5 Star Review after my initial 2 star (which you can read below the update)

The reason I have updated it to 5 stars is because the branch have done EVERYTHING in their power to rectify what went wrong. I couldn't have asked for better service. I have been reassured the little details are being fixed, the staff are being constantly retrained, and I have been offered a top class customer experience. Something other companies lack. I cannot fault the way my complaint has been dealt with and for that reason, I believe it deserves 5 stars.

Thank you for bringing my faith back. The rooms ARE very well themed as I stated in my original review, and the attention to detail is second to none, so I have to give credit where it is due.

Thank you for a positive experience, I suggest people give the rooms a try, just maybe avoid the Dr Who one until loose ends are sorted or unless you are an advanced Escaper!

Dillon - whats an absolute SUPERSTAR!!! If it wasnt for him I wouldnt have enjoyed the experience. He was so friendly and attentive and deserves the utmost appreciation.

Now - the escape rooms themselves - the first room we did Aladdin- wasnt reset properly and bits were falling off the props - needs just some TLC and is a well themed room. Bit cheesed off that it wasnt reset properly either.

Second room (the Dr Who room) - OMG shockingly Terrible! NOTHING linked the next clue, the whole thing is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to navigate. One of the props werent reset and we spent ages trying to work it out and all we had to do was shut the drawer because the props were already in place! It absolute SPOILED my experience and I ended up walking out and giving up because it was just CRAP! Utter utter CRAP.

Third room (alice in wonderland) to make up for the crappy Dr Who experience, again needs TLC. Well themed. Puzzles were great, but id already done EXACTLY the same room in Manchester. Not to mention one of the game hosts coming in halfway through to ask a question, something that iv NEVER experienced in an escape room before and spoilt the immersion.

Just an all round negative experience and I will NOT be coming back, im just SO disheartened it ruined my day to be honest.

Thank you for EVERYTHING you did to try and rectify it Dillon, you truely were the...

A Memorable Escape Room Experience at Alice in Puzzleland: Outstanding Service and Unforgettable Adventure on Oxford Street

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Alice in Puzzleland, an escape room located on Oxford Street, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. We booked the 11:15 am slot for two players, and we were absolutely thrilled with our decision. From start to finish, the entire experience was phenomenal, and we cannot recommend it highly enough.

As we arrived at the venue, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff member, who immediately made us feel welcome. Their genuine enthusiasm and passion for escape rooms set the stage for what would become a truly remarkable adventure. Throughout the entire experience, the staff's attentiveness and eagerness to assist us were unparalleled, ensuring our journey through Puzzleland was both seamless and enjoyable.

Alice in Puzzleland's unique theme provided an immersive and magical setting that transported us into the fantastical world of Alice in Wonderland. The intricate puzzles were challenging yet entertaining, making the entire adventure thoroughly engaging. It was evident that every aspect of the escape room had been thoughtfully designed and executed, showcasing the creators' dedication to providing a high-quality experience.

What truly elevated our time at Alice in Puzzleland, however, was the exceptional customer service we received from the staff member. Their attentiveness, genuine warmth, and unwavering commitment to ensuring our satisfaction made our visit all the more memorable. It is rare to encounter such outstanding service, and we cannot commend them enough for their professionalism and kindness.

In conclusion, our visit to Alice in Puzzleland was an extraordinary escape room experience that we will never forget. From the imaginative theme and stimulating puzzles to the phenomenal customer service provided by the staff member, every aspect of our adventure was truly outstanding. We highly recommend Alice in Puzzleland to anyone seeking an immersive, engaging, and unforgettable escape room experience on...

Alisha our helper was 5*. But the reason I gave 2 star is that the experience/puzzles were quite underwhelming. Nothing wrong the staff or places overall but do feel that because we finished in under 40mins that it was not the most amazing experience.

We have done more challenging escape rooms prior and I feel this was quite overpriced for what puzzles we did do/the room and feel dissapointed for the price point especially being in Central London. (I've done escape rooms where we could unlock more rooms to get to which was immersive). I cannot justify £37 pp at all here.

We also did start later that 2pm which is fair enough but the disclaimer on email confirmation said to come 15 mins early. So time was wasted having to rush around prior.

Updated to 1 star – I reached out to Ali, the manager who responded to my initial review, but no resolution was provided. Ali dismissed my concerns by saying "it wasn’t to my taste."

Atlantis is essentially a single box room, and I was informed that other experiences, such as Aladdin, have multiple rooms to unlock. Charging £40 per person for one room that is less immersive than others is completely unjustifiable.

I also highlighted their own T&Cs, which state that if the experience is significantly different from what was advertised, a reimbursement should be offered. Despite this, I was told there were "no discrepancies" (of course they’d say that). Ali deliberately misinterpreted the clause to avoid providing an appropriate resolution.

Escape Hunt is clearly taking advantage of their Central London location to justify this inflated price while ignoring their own terms and conditions. I would also add that the response of Ali was very unprofessional and they should really work on their customer...

We had an amazing time doing the Blackbeard’s Treasure escape room! Went with a group of friends and it was so much fun – really engaging and interactive from start to finish. When we arrived, there was a quick security check – they checked bags and asked you to leave any drinks or bottles with security. The venue downstairs is spacious and lively, with a bar and plenty of games like pool and darts, plus music playing (a bit loud, but adds to the atmosphere). We didn’t use the paid cloakroom and just brought our bags into the room, which was fine as we were able to leave them in a corner. Our host was great – friendly and enthusiastic – and guided us to the room. The puzzles were clever and well thought out. The only minor downside was that it was sometimes hard to hear the host clearly; a slightly slower pace would have helped. Overall, though, it was a fantastic experience, and we’d definitely come back to try another room! Highly recommend!

This place gets five star for its service alone. I made a mistake with my booking and they accommodated us and I'm really grateful for that. A special shout-out to Piper who assisted me with that. For the escape room itself, it's located in a game bar, think a bar with games like axe throwing, mini-golf and darts. I'll be honest the rooms were not in the best conditions. I did the Doctor who and Alice in Wonderland and a few props were iffy. While the set was immersive, these rooms are not very big, with 4 people being the limit in my opinion. If you never did an escape room and for a night of quick fun with drinks, definitely go for it. For puzzle lovers looking for a top quality escape room, I'd look elsewhere.

We did the "Alice in Puzzleland" escape room with a family of four: two teenagers and two adults. It wasn't too difficult, but it certainly wasn't too easy either. We had an hour and managed to escape after 58 minutes. The only thing that wasn't so great about this escape room was that sometimes our host would give us a tip, but then the "White Rabbit" (Alice in Wonderland character) would start talking to tell us how much time we had left, which meant we couldn't hear our host's tip. The tips could also be said a bit louder, as we sometimes had to strain to hear them. Our host was Amanda, it was her first day working here and she did great! Fantastic! Wonderful experience!
