my son had gone out for a quite drink with his girlfriend. he doesn't drink much or go out really this had been the first time he had gone out for a while. so whats happened is he was quietly having a drink with his girlfriend they were having a laugh everything was fine my son got a bit drunk which he is aware of. where he had drank he obviously needed to go toilet so he had been going toilet throughout the night with him doing that the door staff followed him into the toilet and told him to come to the front of the pub not even somewhere quiet but where everyone can see. they come under the assumption he had been doing cocaine on the night they said it was because the amount he went toilet he had only gone a few times they then said its because he only drank a small amount for how drunk he was. so they went ahead and assumed he was taking drugs . so where they had taken him to the front they asked to search him in front of the whole venue he suffers with bad anxiety problems and self confidence issues a women had then made a remark about his weight because he is quite slim . a male from the door staff then asked him to pull down his trousers to search him but then luckily a women from moon on the hill told him its okay he doesn't have to i think that's sickening. my son knows he was a bit to drunk but all he could of asked for is for them to of handled it better and remove him from the pub not search him and embarrass him in front of loads of people I'm disgusted and horrified of how they treated my son. i strongly advise people who have young siblings to recommend else where if ever...
Read moreToday and yesterday we visited the Weatherspoon in Sutton, London (Moon On The Hill) with our families for dinner in the early quiet part of the evening.
We are not ones to complain but the service was absolutely horrific!
We were not given cutlery when our meals came and the waiter did not bring any!
We had to shout at the bar to get some, waiting for people to get out of the way!
The other table were just given their food as well and not given any cutlery by the same waiter and they were also just given mugs and he walked off not talkingyo them at all.
We spoke to them and they came on holiday from abroad and were not use to the UK pubs and how it worked. They also said that thw food was good but thw staff are horrible!
We had to explain to them how the Tea and Cofee works and that they have to go ask for cutlery because the waiter was absolutely useless!
They prices of our drinks was also incorrect and we had to show the very rude bar lady on the menu because she spent almost 10 minutes arguing with us. We understand if some people are new but 4 of the staff members were absolutely rude for no reason we remained friendly and polite at all times!
They keep on saying that they have called the manager but he or she never arrives to correct the pries of the drinks and left us waiting over 15 minutes.
This branch had gone down hill and it appears to be due to...
Read moreVisited Moon on the Hill 18/02/24 for lunch choosing battered cod, chips & mushy peas with pint of San Miguel. Whilst food arrived hot, unfortunately drinks arrived after; these should have been served beforehand. All was good & staff pleasant as venue was very busy with customers coming & going. Only criticism; tables felt sticky to touch & it's not the first time I've eaten here to find the tables haven't been wiped properly. Visited Moon on the Hill with relative & went to rear end of pub where there's an outside beer garden. Enjoyed a Vindaloo which was extremely hot but full of flavour. Staff pleasant & professional. Visited 9/10/22 & had chicken breast in batter served with sticky soy sauce, coleslaw & a choice of spicy rice or chips, all of which was served quite soon after ordering. Truly enjoyed it & highly recommend. Visited 23/04/22 for a drink with family member. Bar assistant really friendly. Found table easily despite being quite busy. Paid tapping card on device. (Pub has an upper level towards rear with several booths for family/friend groups, along with doors leading to a beer garden; outside seating also available at front of pub. Toilets also on upper level on right-hand side. Hot & cold snacks & meals available. Part of...
