The Moon Under Water - JD Wetherspoon — Restaurant in London

St Patrick's Day 17-3-17 at the moon underwater in hounslow I was really upset and disappointed due to the fact of racism still turn8ng it's ugly head in 2017!!!!! I had just purchased a meal for myself and son around 16pm and while waiting for my drinks which was included in our meal when the manager was handing out the Guinness Black/Green/White hats, as I was the 6th person in the line at the bar area waiting to be given a hat ,the manager chose to simple walk pass me and blatantly ignore me and started handing out hats to the tables??? You can imagine how this made me feel after I have eaten here many times and recently had bought a meal, which I soon asked for a refund which I did get for one of the meals and whilst getting the refund I was asked rather rudely WHY! So I explained to lillana,saw the whole incident and laughed even tho I found it not funny at all when other customers witnessed what occured.lilliana then took it personal when I said that the customer service was poor especially after I had spent money in that branch. I wasn't given an apology or any explanation as to why the manager did what he had done? Although he came over to give us a hat I explained that the hat was for my son not even myself. NEVER AGAIN SHALL I BE ATTENDED SUCH AN UNORGANISED PUB AGAIN WHICH CLEARLY SUPPORTS RACISM IN THE WORK PLACE. HOWEVER BEST OF LUCK TO THE WEATHERSPOON...

Highly disappointed ! I went to Wetherspoon Hounslow first time with my friends for breakfast on Tuesday and was really disappointed with the service. We chose this place as pub is great friendly place to go and chill with friends and make new friends. So what happened was one of my friend who was vegetarian asked for vegetarian specifically and the staff suggested option that she can swap items from the menu but they served her with bacon on plate and when she asked to take it off they just returned with same plate. We repeatedly said that because it is religious purpose she can’t eat from plate that had non veg could you bring right food but unfortunately not the staff or the manager was supportive and refused to serve the table. Also one friend got no bread with her veg breakfast she ordered and other friend got completely burned toast. The staff and manager would had resolved this in polite way but were very stubborn. You can see picture of same item ordered with bread, but one with no bread and with burnt bread. Also when my friend asked for hash brown swap they replied how do you know hash brown has no meat😂Not expecting this when you pay money and not even get what you ask for. So 3 unsatisfied...

I love this pub! It's a local boozer and not a tourist trap but if you are a tourist staying in the local area I would recommend dropping in and meeting some locals. I used to live around here and every time I’m back in the area I’ll pop in for a few pints and food. It really has great prices on UK ales, great cask ales and smaller brewery ales too and usually a varied range of them on tap. I’d likely bet they have some of the best prices in London for good drinks. Also note this pub is in the good beer guide and cask marque certified. Food has been very good to excellent and they get it out quickly. Breakfast here is also very good and well priced with pretty much unlimited coffee for only £1.20. I will add the staff have always been very nice and generally attentive. I’ve been coming here off and on since the early ‘90’s when it opened. I totally would recommend this local pub.

update 2023: Still a great boozer! I cannot get over how reasonable the ales/beer are. still would 100% recommend stopping here if you're in the local area. Sometimes hard to find a table/seating! Service has always been very good. Food generally...
