Venturing into this Nepalese eatery, we were immediately drawn to the momos, and they did not disappoint. We opted for both the tandoor chicken momos and the deep-fried chicken momos. The tandoor momos, generously coated in a flavorful tandoor sauce, were a delightful fusion of textures and spices. The deep-fried momos, on the other hand, offered a satisfying crunch that complemented the accompanying sauce perfectly. With approximately ten momos per plate, the value for money was exceptional.
We also sampled the Kathmandu house curry, which, while not a personal favorite in terms of flavor intensity, still possessed a pleasant blend of spices and paired wonderfully with the garlic naan. A single portion proved ample for two, especially when accompanied by other dishes.
For drinks, we chose the mango lassi, a refreshing choice, though a wider selection of lassi flavors would have been appreciated. A slight disappointment was the absence of hot drinks on the menu.
The restaurant's ambiance was tranquil, particularly as we arrived at noon on a Saturday. The interior, adorned with captivating posters of Nepalese landmarks, exuded a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Soft ambient music played in the background, creating a pleasant dining environment without being intrusive.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering dish recommendations and ensuring a pleasant experience. The dining area was impeccably clean.
Parking was conveniently available nearby, adjacent to Quality Foods, and the restaurant's proximity to bus stops made it easily accessible via public transportation.
I would definitely come back to try other items...
Read moreOne of the very worst places I've visited in years. First of all, the management service is non existent. They do not care whether the customer comes back or not, they are mainly concerned about people walking in getting them to pay for it and that's it. It's all about money management rather than customer management. To go in details, We as a family of 7 adults and 2 children called in advance and booked a table and asked them whether they would be able to serve us and we were told yeah it's fine. After arriving, we were shown a table to squeeze in to because "they were very busy". We ordered our drinks and starters together, drinks turned up after 5-7 mins but we didn't get to see starters until 20-25 mins after drinks came, by which time we had run out of drinks. So we ordered mains and more drinks and this time mains came first but only part of it, the naans actually came after we had almost finished our mains by which time our main had gone cold too as we waited what felt like ages for the naan. Then turned up our jug of mojito after we'd finished our mains, I don't know whether they expected us to have our drink with the naan that turned up almost same time as the drinks. They're excuse was "well we have been extremely busy and now we've made the drink so we can't take it back now." I for one definitely wouldn't recommend going here unless you fancy waiting for ages and the food being hit and miss that's if it turns up on time and any concerns will fall on deaf ears of the management as they're motto isn't about customers but the actual money coming...
Read moreHaving been to the other branch in Southall, we decided to visit the Kathmandu Zone in Hounslow and it completely exceeded our expectations. This location offers a much wider range of dishes on their menu, giving us a chance to try more traditional and unique Nepalese flavours. We visited as a large group of 18 people, every dish we ordered was fresh, flavourful, and perfectly spiced. From the starters to the mains, the quality and presentation of the food were on point. You could tell a lot of care went into the preparation, and it definitely paid off. The experience was a culinary journey and a treat for the taste buds. On the plus side, everything on the menu is halal, which makes it even more enjoyable knowing you can try everything on the menu.
The service was equally exceptional. Alina stood out in particular, she was the star of the evening. From the moment we walked in, she took care of every detail, managing our large group with ease and professionalism. She was kind, patient, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. Nothing felt like too much trouble for her, and she made sure everyone was comfortable and well looked after. Bijen also provided excellent service and supported the team well, but Alina’s warm approach and dedication made a huge difference to our experience. The combination of delicious food and standout service made this visit unforgettable. We’ll definitely be returning and recommending this...
