The last time I ate here was many years ago,but I'd been given good reports and they'd given the place a revamp,so gave it another try It was cold outside and walking into the warm restaurant things started on a good note, however word of warning,due to being fairly busy with takeaways, every time the door opened a chill wind blew through.On a positive note the prices are very reasonable and that includes the wine list.Inside it is very cramped, wouldn't recommend 4 people of above normal size at one table. The food is ok, nothing more, nothing less,I can't say it wasn't good,but there are places I'd use before this one. While the servers were very friendly, my friend and I had to repeat our order four times, and it was still wrong! It was only two basic starters, two standard mains, two ordinary nan. All of the dishes were well cooked and presented, but SO incredibly sweet, as if sugar had been added to everything. I have a big appetite and can usually finish everything, but the sugary sweetness was overwhelming and I had to leave half of my main. Half way through the evening we realised the room had filled with smoke. Not a fire, just something rather overdone in the kitchen. Finally, the tables are far, far too close. We have ordered delivery food and visited this restaurant on numerous occasions and have always really enjoyed the food and aervice, but on this occasion we ordered a delivery order at 18.12 and was told 45 mins delivery time. We waited till 19.12 and called chasing our order to be told they are having trouble with the traffic ( even though we are about 10mins away). We waited a further half hour tried calling but it just rang and rang we were just about to go out for food when the driver turned up at 19.52!
