We were a group of 7 people, had dinner here and we felt the food was decent, but not great; however the portions were too small for the price. The waitress took the orders from us seated across two tables joined together. We ordered a number of items, that included the starter Halloumi Fries each, but only one portion was delivered (both the groups thought it was their order). Then we ordered 2 more portions of Halloumi Fries, while the bill had 4 portions of Halloumi Fries, in total, in addition to the other items. When we enquired about this to the waitress, that we had only three portions of Halloumi Fries, she was a bit aggressive stating that we ordered 4 in total, with such a confidence. Then we cross-checked among ourselves and established, we actually ordered 4, but only 3 portions delivered.
With a great difficulty, we had to get our point conveyed, and after a difficult conversation (which no one expects to have in a restaurant), the waitress eventually corrected the bill to exclude one; however she didn't not even acknowledge or apologise for the miss from their end. There was an 10% optional service charge added to the bill, which we felt was not justified for the kind of customer experience we received. If the restaurant can't ensure that the customer order has been delivered correctly, it creates a doubt with their basic business processes. We won't be going there again; this is an example of how one bad customer experience could impact the overall business and the importance of ensuring a great...
Read moreI’m sad to say The Real Greek really fell off. I used to order from here quite a bit as a student and really enjoyed a certain vegan meatball souvlaki—I think unfortunately they took it off the menu.
We had the halloumi souvlaki, the lamb souvlaki with extra chicken and the falafel meze. Unfortunately, absolutely nothing had any flavour. Even the salt, pepper and olive oil on the table side couldn’t save it.
While the falafel was nice and crispy on the outside, the inside was really dense, instead of the fluffy texture you hope for, and it tastes of nothing. The fries are crispier than they used to be, but they don’t add the herbs anymore, so they too ended up really flavourless. The tomatoes had that classic weird British mushy texture that I hate (and, again, no flavour). There wasn’t enough sauce, but even in the bites that had it, it didn’t add anything special to the food.
I’m honestly impressed with how they managed to make it so flavourless. It’s not difficult to season food and it can make such a difference.
The service was okay. It kind of took a long time, especially for one of these casual dining chains.
Overall, I was really...
Read moreReza was an absolute standout during one of our many visits to this branch. From the get-go, his warm and attentive demeanour set the tone for a wonderful dining experience. He managed to strike the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness, engaging with the kids in such a genuine and thoughtful way that made them feel so special, all while ensuring everything ran smoothly.
His knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot on, and his efficiency in handling our requests was truly impressive. The food, as always, was exceptional... fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented, but Reza’s outstanding service elevated the entire experience to a new level.
It’s rare to encounter someone who truly goes above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome and cared for, and Reza did just that. He’s an absolute credit to the team, and we left not only satisfied with the delicious food but genuinely touched by the level of care and attentiveness he provided. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough, and Reza is a huge part of why we’ll be...
