Read moreVery unpleasant pub with rude and unhelpful staff. The stated opening hours are false. They claim to be open until 10pm, but I arrived there to join some friends on 04/03/24 and they just said the bar was closed at 9.30pm and refused any service. Their opening hours should state that they close at 9.30pm. The real issue is that the staff hate their jobs and don’t want to be there. They just want to get rid of everyone quickly so they can go home. Very unfriendly and unwelcoming.
Avoid this pub. Instead try the much nicer Chequers Bar, Three Crowns Pub or St James Bar - all within a 2 minute walk and much nicer than the Red Lion (or should I say the...

This is a cut diamond of beautiful vintage...
