Addition to previous review when i only had a pint. Updated to 5 stars! Great selection of beers once again. Casks were lovely. Finally got around to eating here. Five of us ate and the food was excellent. Pork belly was fabulous! My son had pizza which he really enjoyed. Only one issue was with my wifes meal(shame as it was her birthday!). However, the manager was extremely understanding and receptive and offered her a complimentary drink and dessert to make up for it. Really appreciated. Great customer service! Will definitely eat here again. Recommended.

Lovely quick lunch today at a local pub to me. My daughter and I had the Flame Maple Bacon Burger, cheesy fries and loaded fries. All were very good, the dishes were a little small but the price was fair for what you got so not a complaint just wanted to share that little detail. We saw some people order the Tacos and the chicken burger and that also looked great. Definitely recommend this pub 😊

Shame that we've only just found this pub after living in Beckenham for four years. Beautiful pub garden with lots of seating, heat lamps, rugs and cushions. Plenty of good beer options, staff were excellent and the food was lovely (you can usually tell by how many people are eating on the night). Pizza last night but looking to work our way through the menu in future!

Went yesterday for Sunday lunch. First time visiting Took ages to find a staff member to explain how to order etc. hugely disappointing

Finally managed to get to the bar to place food order.

Ordered the roast chicken. Wow Toast chicken it definitely wasn’t. It was several chicken thighs. If I order a ROAST chicken I expect to see that A piece of chicken roasted in an oven. Not several chicken thighs.

Friend had the lamb which were just chunks of meat. Not a few slices, literal chunks of gristley lamb.

Staff also need trained in allergies As over heard a conversation with a mum who had requested egg free meal for child. Meal turned up with a Yorkshire pudding on plate the mum asked if egg free and the young waitress responded by saying. Ain’t Yorkshire puddings egg free????

To which the mum had to ask her to get confirmation from chef.

Chefs answer was yes. They contain egg.

Really shameful in a day of serious allergic reactions.

Need to do better...

I booked their conservatory area for our annual friends and families get together and pre ordered our food as requested. They then called me the night before to say the area had been double booked! They gave us another area "the Den" but it was dark and smoky from the fire so not ideal with kids. We opened the blind to try and let some light in and were told it had to be shut for privacy as it overlooked the staff garden area! We were then informed they had run out of hake. I questioned this, saying I had pre ordered - Apparently I hadn't pre ordered early enough!!!! There was then confusion with the bill which was a pain at the end of what was actually a nice afternoon. Safe to say we won't be booking for our next get together, although I have to say the sausage and mash...

Been to this pub many times over the years but not for 2 yrs or so . Still lovely inside cosy and quirky . But very disappointed in food menu previously had a good variety menu even used to do roast fish and other meals and at affordable prices and nice size portions . Now very limited the choice on Sunday Pizza that was very thin and dry and small Burger which I always used to enjoy came very small and had to pay extra for chips that were also small portion and their prices don’t reflect the size sadly . However staff work hard and polite .And they do give a free selection of crackers and cheese So in conclusion change menu have more variety like previously and have a look at portion size...
