Much like other dessert shops, this shop also offers waffles, sundaes, crepes, pancakes, freaky shakes, milk shakes, smoothies, mock tail, juices, hot/tea and coffee. FOOD We ordered 3 different food, a pancake with biscoff topping, peanut butter sizzler and blue lagoon drink. Along with the pancake and sizzler, we ordered a coconut strawberry milkshake and caramel milkshake. I was happy with the taste of the peanut butter sizzler, yes the caramel juice does sizzle at the bottom just like the TV advert display. The price however was too pricey for its small size, though the portion can be satisfing if you are having other treats as well or you just want to finish your day with this dessert. Milkshake coconut strawberry flavour was sweet. I tasted strawberry, but it just felt too sweet, like I tasted so much sugar but it lacked of coconut. The blue lagoon is a mock tail drink with their special ingredients. It supposed to come in glass, however the staff serving us "recommended" we have it in plastic. I wasn't happy with this because it didn't look nice, it's a mocktail drink therefore it supposed to COME in a glass. The staff said it is recommended to get it in plastic because the glass breaks easily. As for the taste, it was very good, sweet, declious with a hint of mint to the taste flavours. PRICE Very pricey, I don't know if the inflation increased their prices, however the Signature Seller Sizzlers were quite pricey for their small portion size. For an example you pay £8 just for a 4 pieces of baklava in a sauce, that is ridiculous. SERVICE This place has seating inside however quite limited, they have more spaces for couples than for groups or families. We went around 18:15pm on Saturday night and it was quite busy. Though it isn't consistently busy but by 7pm I saw a family waiting for a seat, so we had to finish our stay to let them seat in. Staff were polite and not rude. I wasn't happy with the table we sat at because one of the table was very wobbly, and it is something they need to fix. Parking can be a problem here especially when it is a busy period. You can pay for parking at paybyphone. It is best to come via Elizabeth line train. I would recommend this place, location is hidden from the Whitechapel main "Indian/Asian" streets, which is a nice break from those encounters. Price is high however taste is good.

Milk Cake was BEAUTIFUL, hygiene had me in DISBELIEF. A rollercoaster of contradictions. When I was eating the milk cake I was really trying hard to forget that the helpful waiter that served our food was coughing all over the place without an mask on, coughing on his hands and I was watching him feeling sorry for him and then thinking please use some anti bacterial at least sir. The unfathomable happened next, this waiter starts walking up to my table with the plates of food of mine in his hands. I’m not even a germaphobe but that was mental. Saying BISMILLAH I started eating my pistachio milk cake and it tasted so good regardless of the chaotic hygiene issues. The waffles was crunchy, soft and nice. I would have liked it dripping in more chocolate though, Still I enjoyed every bite. ALHAMDULILAH Everyone please make Dua for the brother coughing around Urban Chocolatier, hopefully he recovers soon. It would have been a 5 star if the waiter wasn’t contaminating and the man taking the payment wasn’t rubbing his nose around. Food: 5/5 Hygiene: 2/5 Experience: 3/5

Wanted some late night desert so ordered from Uber eats. They all tasted really good and everyone that has mentioned portions are huge are correct! I ordered a red velvet cake and split it in half with my husband as it was too much for 1 person and was very very sweet. Ordered a chocolate chunk brownie cake which comes as 2 pieces, a chocolate amore cake and a caramel tart. All were beautifully presented with icing sugar and chocolate sauce around them and very big slices and came with small pots of vanilla ice cream, I do think it would've been better if it came with custard as not everyone will like cake and ice cream as a combination, had to pay £1.50 to add some custard to my cake which I think is a bit too much. Each slice of cake was £6.95. I was really shocked at how everything was packed as I'd never ordered from here before, had their own brand packaging and boxes provided loads of tissue forks and spoons. If you're craving something sweet you should order from here as you'll get a huge portion and your craving will be satisfied.

If I could, I would rate the place ZERO Stars.

I visited on Saturday night 25th June 2022 at approximately 22:00 with a party of 8-10 people.

I shall try to list all negative issues which occurred.

1 - Was seated by the side while we wait for a table, was told 10-15 minutes by the waitress but we ended up grabbing our own table after at least 45 minutes. Then had to even request for someone to come and clean it up despite sitting there for sometime waiting and waiting even more.

2 - Whilst we were waiting for our own table, a party of a similar size came in, got seated and served BEFORE US.

3 - Waitress dropped food and plates while serving customers. One of our party ended up helping clean it up along with the waitress, who was slow and ineffective.

4 - Slow waiting staff, a young boy and young girl were both poor, lacked urgency and common sense. The young girl was overwhelmed clearly and the boy was not helping very much at all.

5 - To top things off at the end once I had paid the bill, and we all got and left and stood outside establishment. The young boy came outside to say we had not paid and made me go back in. I went back in and said I've paid, to which the attendant who took payment said yes you have without making any eye contact with me. I asked for an apology for making me come back to which there was silence from all, then I said loudly your customer service is poor, you guys need to fix up. They said nothing in response either.

All in all, this establishment is ran by children who know nothing of the value of strong customer service, professionalism and...

I never usually write online reviews on places I visit but after visiting Urban Chocolatier I just have to applaud the business and its staff. Firstly, this was my first ever time visiting Urban Chocolatier and before visiting I did hear some negative feedback about the place from some of my friends who have visited the shop before but I still decided to give it a shot myself. As I went during the weekday I did not expect it to be that busy but I was astonished to how packed it was on a Wednesday night that there were no seats for us to sit at! The staff were amazing, the boy with the curly hair wasted no time in cleaning up a table from previous customers to sit us down as fast as possible and was extremely professional and nice as he apologised several times to us for keeping us waiting to sit us down. I ended up ordering the Oreo milkshake and the cookie dough which were phenomenal and way better than any other dessert place I have ever visited. The lady at the till was extremely nice when we went to pay after our meal and the overall energy in the shop was very positive. The only downside to visiting this place is that they do not serve tap water to customers which was a first for me but there has to be a good reason as to why that is and it was not a great bother for me. With all due respect, I will be coming back to this shop and it will definitely become my go-to dessert shop! Great job guys...
