I would not recommend this place to anyone. My family and I did not have a positive experience here. We placed an order and immediately wanted to amend it as we realised it did not comply with our dietary requirements. We asked the person who had served as (a man with long hair) if we could please cancel the order. He claimed that he could not as he had already started making it. We then asked if we could have half the order refunded and that we would take some of the items and pay for those entirely. He agreed to this but was not happy at all - so he 'refunded' us half of the money for the items we would not be eating. We then waited for way over 30 minutes for him to fry some chips. When he finally served us, he was quite unfriendly even though I did apologise for the inconvenience this had caused. Furthermore, it has been well over a month and the refund was not received. He clearly was not very honest in putting the refund through and unfortunately we were not given any receipt as proof for these transactions. Please save your money and go to any other restaurant on this road, where the sellers are decent and...
Read moreRecently looking for a desi breakfast spot in mile end and saw the menu outside so decided to give it a shot. Went for the Asian breakfast which comes in at £7.95 that comes with 3 egg omelette, 2 sausages, hash brown, beans and porotha.
Massively disappointed, especially as the owners appear local, the poratha is not cooked fresh and comes pre packed frozen. Tasted them before. Starchy taste. awful. The omelette had no spice, seasoning or herbs that may constitute it to be desi or traditional. No onions or tumeric added. It was a lame attempt to try and present a traditional Asian breakfast as somewhat authentic. The beans were just beans, not masala and the tea...omg. There was a recent review on their desi tea, I am in shock to what was presented as masala chai. Maybe it's just an error on the day, but it tastes like someone had warmed up milk in the microwave and thrown in a tea bag. Best thing about the meal was that fresh orange juice which comes in at £3.50. all in all...like most businesses, aimed at making as much profit as they can, terrible. £14.50 that breakfast cost and will not I...
Read moreWe went for an evening meal. Didn't read any reviews just decided to give it a go as we were walking by.
We appreciated the calm vibe, the seating was nice and they have a kind of open kitchen view which I am fond of.
Both members of staff were very smiley and friendly with us. No issues at all.
As for the burgers, they are humble in size (the patty in particular). However, I didn't find this to be a bad thing. Both burgers were of top quality and very satiating. A sloppy burger that is too tall isn't fun most of the time. All in all, we enjoyed it but £8 is a tad pricey.
Korean fried chicken - Delicious and tender with a touch of sweetness.
Their dragonfruit & mango iced tea was also delicious. My only complaint would be that it is watered down a little too much. Feels like a tourist trap (lol) despite being a local. Please, we would appreciate, if you folk don't cheap out and dilute the drink.
They also make fantastic...
