Superdrug — Local services in London

Worst experience in a shop in a long time! Rude and unbothered staff. Superdrug really needs to look into what is happening in this store.

I went there looking for some Gillette products and found shelfs half empty all over the store. When I arrived at the till I was told the toothpaste I selected was £5.99 instead of the £2.99 price on the shelf. At no point the cashier apologised for that. They are bluntly trying to lure customers that won't even check the receipt and notice something like that until they get home or ever.

Secondly, all the prices for non-members are so inflated! It is ridiculous to see something being sold at £4.50 for normal customers and £3.00 (market price across other retailers) for members. This is not discount for members, but price inflation for non-members! It blows my mind how a shop can do this with no fear of being called-out.

Advice for the staff: if you hate your job, just leave. You don't have to be incompetent and unhelpful just because you don't...

This is a small to moderately sized Superdrug and it's my local branch - but it does have most of the essentials you could need and has an adequate skincare and beauty aisle. There are medicines, baby supplies, hair care, beauty tools, accessories, perfumes, personal hygiene products, snacks & drinks and they always have seasonal gifts as well. The staff in here are always lovely and helpful and I have never had a bad experience in here, hence my 5 star rating.

I also shop in here with my baby in his pram and can get down all the aisles with no problem, so possibly wheelchair accessible - and this store is all on the ground floor. As an extra bonus, they have click and collect - so even if there's not something in stock or available on their shelves, you can shop it all online and go and collect it on a date...

I went to the store on Wednesday around 5pm. There was 3 guys running the store. I was very surprised and pleased on how I received my service. I bought my bike with me so I had to keep it outside. I asked the guy next to the door if I can leave my bike here. He said that’s fine and greeted me. He also asked what am I looking for and then communicated through his headphones with his colleagues. He sent me over to his assistant manager “David” which he was very helpful in selecting different types of medical tapes. I went to the tills and there was a lovely chap “Tariq” who completed my transaction. He smiled and asked me many questions about perfume and other products on offer.
