This place is absolutely brilliant!!! I went with my mum, and even though sports bars aren't generally our scene (very male-centred and unfriendly), the atmosphere was immaculate!!
Before I talk about how GREAT this place is, I need to make a disclaimer because Google Maps is really bad at telling you how to get here. Make a sharp LEFT at Old Street station, and when you see a wagamama's walk straight through and past the sign in between the two buildings. Head down the stairs, and on your left, you should see a sign saying The Volley.
The team of staff were friendly and inviting, and the environment wasn't overwhelming with nice warm lights and comfy seating - not to mention the food was just perfect.
When I say perfect , I mean PERFECT. Completely affordable - £9.50 for a burger (they're double pattied too!) bigger than your palm plus a boatload of double cooked crispy fries on the side; at no added charge.
Every single burger on the menu can easily be substituted with their wheat protein panko-breaded vegan burger. This is such a breath of fresh air when, any time I go out and look for a vegan option , there is ONE pathetic veggie patty as their vegetarian option. Now, I get to enjoy with everyone else, too :)))
They have plenty of fantastic sides, too, all under a tenner (I'm pretty sure most are under £5 actually). Lots of vegetarian sides, we had the onion rings, cauliflower bites, and jalapeño poppers. These, along with their signature buffalo sauce, were INSANE. I was scraping the plate for more.
You will not leave here hungry - perfect greasy food for when you're drunk, too.
All in all, it's a fantastic place to be and I couldn't recommend it more. I'm excited to come back again!!! :)))

Read moreI'm a regular but if, as I witnessed, they want to get political by refusing to serve an old man wearing the Union Jack, and justify this by comparing a diverse march of 150,000 people who's voices have for years been overlooked & unheard to 'far right Nazis' (as you can see in their previous reply)... then I shall get political by giving a one star review on the basis that they are fuelling division, close-mindedness, and intolerance. I had hoped the days of pubs refusing service to certain people were over in this country.
Imagine being a pensioner from Bethnal Green who has spent their whole life watching their community of cockneys disappear & their way of life gone, surrounded by new neighbours who don't say good morning or speak much English, the women of whom often never show you their face - and feeling your voice ignored at the ballot box you go for a peaceful protest, and on the way are refused a beer by a yuppy newcomer who tells you you're problematic, end of discussion sorry pal if you disagree with the way things are going you...

Firstly, this place shows Womens Super League games. Secondly, my partner and I were looking for a particular Womens Super League game which wasn't being screened when we arrived. The staff went above and beyond to find out what app it was being streamed on, downloaded and set up the app and set it up to stream on a TV. Then they put it on a big screen once the people watching that screen left!
The food was excellent and the drinks were varied, including numerous non-alcoholic beers should you be so inclined.
It is a very welcoming, open and accepting place and if I lived in this country, I would be...
