The Warehouse Cafe SE16 — Restaurant in London

I don’t usually write negative reviews, but the customer service I experienced today was truly appalling.

When I approached the counter to place my order, the slightly older lady wearing glasses didn’t even greet me or say hello. Instead, she looked at me and said, “It’s a really long wait — I don’t know if you want to bother,” before walking off.

I decided to wait, but when she returned, she repeated the same comment, as though she was discouraging me from ordering. I politely told her I’d like to order a panini, but instead of responding, she turned to talk to the gentleman next to me. Even he looked shocked by how rude she was being.

When she finally acknowledged me again, I asked what fillings were available for the panini. She replied curtly, “Ham, tuna, cheese.” I then asked if she had chicken, and she simply said “No,” with no attempt to be polite or offer an alternative.

At that point, the man beside me exchanged a look that clearly said he agreed — her attitude was unacceptable. I decided to leave the restaurant.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve encountered this level of rudeness here. It’s happened several times over the past few years, and the only reason I’ve returned is because of the convenient location. After today, however, I won’t be...

Plenty of options, so I took a little time before I settle with Grilled or breaded Chicken. Didn't read properly, because I was confused due to lack of sleep, server didn't have much patience to explain to me that there are options. Grilled or breaded chicken; chips or salad. At the meantime she was busy serving the other customers. Well... To them, there was amazing service; to me, there was neglecting. So to speak, regular customers might have extra care.

I decided to give this new cafe a try, upon entering the women behind the till was giving me odd looks. I asked if they took card payments she answered yes but answered in a way as if she couldn’t be bothered to speak. I then asked if could please have a full english breakfast to which she said we don’t do that here, you need to select different items for your dish and we’ll make it. I thought that was strange so i said let me think what i’d like. She hastily hurried me into making an order mind you i was the only person in the cafe.
