Decent pub with outside drinking area. No real ale on hand pump available only bottled ale which is a good alternative. Lots of keg beer on tap with London Pride included in this category. Very good service from well trained friendly staff. Overall this establishment is very clean especially in the toilet areas and all table are cleaned very fast when the customers have departed. Unlike some pubs used plates, glasses are removed in a very efficient manner. Fuller's pub and dining are a bit more up market and the prices reflect this from the service you receive. This pub is only minutes away from Wembley Stadium and even nearer to the Arena. The Wembley Hilton Hotel too is only around the corner together with lots of shops and restaurants. Obviously I don't recommend this pub on event day at the stadium or arena as you will simply not get in so just don't go there. If you want real ale then this is not the pub for you unless you are OK with ESB, 1845, London Porter, Bengal Lancer in 500ml bottles at £5 per bottle. I am drinking 1845 and is it worth £5 a bottle? Another alternative is a Wetherspoons pub on Wembley High Street, less then 5 minutes walk away from Wembley Central Station or by bus from this pub a few minutes. Here you will get 5 real ales on hand pump, Ruddles best £1.69 pint or Abbot Ale £2.29 pint plus other ales. The food is better here then the Wetherspoons pub but here in this pub there is no real ale only the bottles. This pub as a better atmosphere as there is plenty of natural daylight inside because of the design and large windows. Yes the White...
Read moreMy fiancé and I went here during our first visit to London, right before the England vs Wales match. We had booked the stadium event dining, so we were seated upstairs in a separate dining area overlooking the lively prematch crowd.
For what’s considered classic pub food, everything was surprisingly good… hearty and comforting. I had the pie with mash and gravy, which was rich and delicious, while my fiancé had the chicken schnitzel and she really enjoyed it. As Americans, this felt like a genuine taste of British pub dining… the kind of warm, lively atmosphere locals enjoy before a football match, or so we were told lol.
Our server, I believe her name was Danielle (apologies if I got that wrong!), was absolutely phenomenal!! She was friendly, attentive, and incredibly quick despite how busy it was. We even had a nice chat with her about our first time in London and how much we were enjoying the English football culture.
If we ever come back for another match at Wembley, we’ll definitely return to The White Horse. It was one of those experiences that stood out from our trip… great food, great service, and a real sense of warm British...
Read moreMyself and 4 friends had booked dinner pre the Dua Lipa concert on Saturday afternoon. The food was absolutely atrocious and I wish now I had complained at the time. 4 of us had ordered the salmon. It arrived in a bowl with the slimmest slither of salmon you ever did see but what was even more ridiculous was that we had 2 sprigs of broccoli and about 3 tiny potatoes. The size of the meal was a joke and was more befitting of a starter. We ordered chips as extra to compensate. The overall bill came to £30 each which was covering the food only as our drinks we had brought up from the bar. Everyone was disappointed. On a positive note, the pub itself is buzzing, with great decor and atmosphere. We spent some time before and after the meal on the outside terrace which was also lovely. The staff in the dining area were wonderful but the bar staff quite miserable, perhaps overwhelmed with the volume of punters, I don't know. We just felt let down with the food side of things... I would recommend visiting for the drinks alone and don't bother...
