Tops Pizza Sutton — Restaurant in London

We ordered a pizza at the counter. The order was wrong. We left with the wrong pizza. When we got to our hotel we realized that the pizza was a meat pizza. We had specifically requested the vegetarian pizza and asked to swap the cheese with vegan alternative.

We called the store and explained the mixup. They admitted fault but refused to replace the pizza. Finally, after much discussion, they agreed to replace the pizza with a £5 delivery fee. The pizza was £12 so this added fee would be almost half the order. We are tourists and stay a mile from the store. I explained that they are expecting us to return to the store to pick up a second pizza whereas the honourable thing would have been to simply send us a new pizza. The person on the phone who was the same person who took the order initially said he would only accommodate us if we paid an extra delivery fee to cover a mistake the store made.

Is this review worth venting over £5? Yes it is. It is not about the money. It is an example of how poorly our communities are integrated that we would rather cause discomfort to each other especially knowing that we are tourists with a child looking forward to pizza. Because the pizza was covered with meat we could not have any of it. Because we did not accept to throw it out we ended up giving ut ti the front desk of our hotel. Being from North America we were not quite expecting the same level of corporate customer service in the UK but we would have never expected such opportunistic behaviour for a £12 pizza order!

I hope this purely capitalist vision and low ethical standard of service by Tops Pizza in Sutton in a community based store is exposed through similar reviews in order that the community maintains the level of love and compassion expected in communal life and rids itself of such unkind mentalities within their society. We must resist inhumane harshness promoted by greed to penetrate compassionate, just, and sincere communities.

Honestly some of the worst tasting pizza I've had and served by a rude staff member. Got a chicken tandoori which showed some sauce on top in the picture on the website and asked which one it was, to be told it does not come with sauce. I pointed out the picture to which he said it was garlic sauce and he will put it on top. Also got the cheeseburger pizza. When I collected the pizzas I asked for dipping sauces and he replied it has sauces in it already. I asked which one. He said garlic. I asked if there's any other sauces. He asked which sauce do I want? I asked which sauces do you have? He replied with the list and I asked for a couple of them but then he rudely replied there's already sauces in the boxes. I promptly left, but why list them for me if no intentions of giving/selling them to me? The pizzas themselves were bland. The chicken tasted horrible but the beef was not too bad. I would highly recommend avoiding. Fireaway is not too far at rosehill roundabout and much better, much fresher tasting.

Edit: just realised that the order was also wrong. Had asked for black olives but none were on the...

The pepperoni pizza is perfectly thin and crispy, and the vegetarian options are just as satisfying and full of flavour. Their sides are amazing too — especially the cheesy garlic bread and their signature garlic dip, which is rich, creamy, and addictive!

Ordering is super easy through the Tops Pizza website or app, and the delivery is always rapid and reliable. They’ve always followed any notes I’ve left and even taken the time to call for directions if needed — really professional and thoughtful service.

The team at Tops Pizza Sutton has kept their standards high over the years, and I truly appreciate the consistency and care they put into everything they do.
