The good part is the food - Traditional Greek dishes done well. I ordered a starter of Spanakopita - Spiniach and Feta pastries as a starter which were crisp and filling followed by a beef Stifado which was rich and tender all accompined by a Mythos beer. This reminds me of my Greek Island holidays here in London. The owner clearly loves the food they cook and are proud of it. The trap they have fallen into is oversized portions. My portion was about three times too big and accompanied by a admittedly fresh and tasty salad, but one I didnt order. My advice to the owner is cut your portions by about a half to a third, drop your prices slightly and you should see your footfall increase because this little taverna deserves an atmosphere to match the cooking. Shamefully, I have lived a two minute walk from here for months now without visiting. I went with some friends last night and it was a revelation.

Warm, cosy and welcoming, the staff are very good hosts who make you feel at home.

We had a couple of carafes of wine and the mix meze - the best choice if you want variety.

The waitress brought dish after dish of delicious, traditional greek dishes. We had a vegetarian in our group and on being told this they made special efforts to make sure she had enough to eat as well.

That said, the grilled meats that constituted the main course were excellent, well marinated and full of smokey grilled flavour.

Have known this family business for years but the food served in these times is absolutely atrocious and definately not fresh, having visited after several years I was subjected to an hour of regurgitating having only consumed a leg of the chicken bought when affording courtesy in calling to query if chicken fresh and cooked from screi was met with critisim and told to not return. the The chicken had a peculiar of the smell whic led to my query I am disappointed in the attitude and will be contacting Environmental health at H&F :Council as this needs investigation pronto stay away, and had I seen last review of the I would have stayed away, I am more annoyed that I was not afforded respect when calling to advise...
