I came in today and ordered a salted coffee (£4.20), which is already a bit pricey, but fine, I chose to pay for it. What surprised me was being charged £4.70 simply because I asked for it to be served in a mug instead of a glass. That’s a 50p for a mug, which is just absurd. When I asked why, I was told the mug is “larger”. It isn’t. I specifically ask for a mug because I like holding a handle and not burning my hand while drinking a hot coffee. Apparently that comes at a premium now? Honestly, it feels like the more often you visit, the more they find ways to squeeze a bit more out of you. Advice to management: Please consider this, especially with loyal customers. A mug shouldn’t cost more than a glass, especially when it’s not actually bigger.

We’ve been coming here with my partner for a long time now (almost every Saturday for a year now) but today was just an awful experience. The more we come, the less consistent it gets. I don’t want to sound like a snob, but when you’re charging the most expensive coffee in the area (£5!!!) I think you ought to get it right or make sure your staff is trained up to get it right. Just a bit dissapointed about the whole thing as this used to be inenof our favourite spots.

A warm and charming little shop run by a single person. The coffee is excellent, and the peanut butter coffee is particularly unique. The food is vegetarian and very delicious. The only downside is that with just one person handling everything, it can be overwhelming during busy times. Used dishes from previous customers may remain on the table for a while, and even by the time we left, no one had come to clear them.

Love the croissants and food options - but they have got seriously expensive lately and now are just good for the occasional treat. But unfortunately the staff member that always seems to be in there is so lacklustre and unbothered about his job- he closes early and opens late - he is not a great showpiece for the company and really makes me think twice before going in anymore. I’ve over heard him talking about how hungover and monged out he is and I really find it off putting and distasteful. It’s a tiny place and there is nowhere to hide if you’re not at ease about being public facing. He answered my question about the price rise by telling me that the company isn’t making any money and “things are expensive man”- I mean how vommit inducing is that ? As one of the only options for baked vegan goods in the area this place should...

We have been customers of Wave for years now and were excited to see this small branch pop up. We have been here a few times and everything has always been tasty. Great to have an all vegan cafe nearby. The review below, complaining about consistency made me decide to leave this review. Last time my husband popped in for our favourite Peanut Coffee they tasted awful. I emailed Wave to let them know and they appreciated the feedback, asked additional questions to really gauge the issue and offered us two free coffees to make up for it.

It's always worth emailing feedback, they've been successfully running a beautiful Hackney cafe for many years with delicious food and drinks and hopefully feedback will ensure they sort their standards at the Stokey branch. No complaints...

I was really excited to try this place as I’ve passed by numerous times and it’s aesthetically pleasing to the eye so wanted to check it out. I asked what was the most popular pastry and whether they were fresh from the day and was suggested the almond croissant which I got. They said the pastries were fresh from the morning but unfortunately the croissant was stale and tasted of paper. I am not sure if it was an off day but I left disappointed in spending £3.80 on something that didn’t seem fresh and didn’t taste right. I would consider going back but I think I’ll opt for one of the drinks instead since it seemed like most of the people were ordering drinks instead of food. Other than the experience with the food, the service and...
