Khan Grill & Burgers (formerly Wild West) – Hanwell, West London
I’m a regular at Khan Grill & Burgers, the newly rebranded Wild West restaurant in Hanwell, and I have to say:
💰 Great Value for Money: Between 12 PM and 5 PM, you can grab a Peri Peri Burger meal for just £6, which includes peri peri chips and a drink—an absolute steal. Other burger meals are reasonably priced, around £8-£9, with various options.
🔥 Delicious Flavors & Sauces: You can choose your burger sauce—Lemon & Herb, Mild, or Hot. I personally love the Mild because it’s the perfect middle ground. Plus, the garlic sauce on the table is incredible!
🍽 Food Presentation & Atmosphere: The food is served in beautiful plates and containers, making the presentation really stand out. The staff is friendly and welcoming, which adds to the experience.
⚠️ One Concern: I had an upset stomach after one visit, which made me wonder about hygiene. If you're cautious, you can always test food for bacteria using 3M Petrifilm E.coli / Coliform Count Plates from eBay (I didn’t do it, as the staff seems nice, and I didn’t want to offend them). Foodborne illnesses often take several hours or even days to show symptoms, depending on the type of bacteria. An upset stomach can also be caused by other factors, like food intolerances or sensitivities, rather than an illness. So, it’s not always the last meal that’s to blame—sometimes it’s just how your body reacts to certain foods. Also, one of the staff members mentioned having recovered from a cold/flu just a few days prior, so I politely asked another staff member to serve my food—just as a precaution.
⭐ Overall: Aside from that, I’m really happy with this place! The food is tasty, the prices are affordable, and the staff is kind and accommodating. I’d recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a budget-friendly and flavorful...
Read moreWaiting well over an 1hr for a burger and chips is totally unacceptable. Yes its 50% off for the Grand Opening but that’s no excuse for the timely delay. There were only 3 tables that were occupied inside the restaurant and they looked very overwhelmed. They need to seriously work on there time management otherwise they wont survive in this area. Customer Service was very poor when asked about my order they didn’t have a clue when it will be ready and was constantly ignored. As I told them I would be leaving than all of a sudden my food is ready.
Other than that the burger was actually good the chips were average but couldn’t get past the delay which gave me an overall bad experience. You would of thought we would of been served the drinks first but they couldn’t even do that which I find hard to believe. The other issue of having one guy on the till taking payments is very amateurish on the restaurants part. People wanting to leave and people wanting to order are all in the same queue getting served by just one guy. To top it off our starters were forgotten about and when asked about them they were apparently on the grill minutes away from being served.
The restaurant has some potential but it seriously needs to cut down on its turn arounds. Employees looked overworked and as a result the customer service was directly impacted. Maybe hiring more staff to make the food and also get another till to speed up the process of making an order and paying for your food. The place is not big and it wasn’t even half full yet orders were taking an 1hr or so to be done. Serious changes are needed for this franchise to survive as there are a lot of burger places in and around that area. If this was to continue I can see them closing down as customers would gladly go elsewhere regardless of if the food is...
Read moreThe place seems nice from outside. However, this place may just be slightly better than a basic fast-food, but far below a dine-in or restaurant (expect the price).
I tried:
their most expensive burger with triple layers of meat, and I can say that, although the quantity was there, the taste was just "okay" at best, and still far from what you can get for the same price in better places in Ealing Broadway.
chips are super basic, far below Mc Donalds, I would say lower than the two kebabs at the corner (Boston Road). They were crunchy due to excessive oil that you can feel when bitting on it, even from the colour of it, you can tell.
It would certainly fit for someone super hungry, passing quickly by Hanwell, and who does not know alternative places.
The customer service is less than limited, a fast-food mentality, but for prices, it is a restaurant mentality. I won't list the details here.
To make it short: the prices belong to restaurant, the interior decor belongs to a dine-in place and the food belongs to a basic fast-food.
Maybe that place could improve and can potentially outstand their competitors in the area if some changes are made, and avoid to shut down at some point, as customers may become aware of the gap between prices and quality. Also, the high number of staff seems exaggerated and not reflecting a fast servicing process/...
