As a woman going into any type of establishment alone, it can feel alquard for some women who may feel intimidated by groups of males out together However ..... at this place there are NO such issues!!!
The staff always go out of there way to make sure you are looked after and feel comfortable as you walk up the walkway enterance and are very very respectfull. I now use this place as a reguar venue i like it that much. Also a perticular gentelman Taz is an lovely man who is poite and educated and a credit to the establishment. He will also pop over nd sit down for a chit chat for five mins to make sure ur happy n relaxed and his company is always very opriciated.
There is no issue of safty at this venue. Big muscular door supervisors are defenetly not needed hear.... due to the gentlemen currently working there (if you catch my drift ladys! đ) I always feel safe.
The prices are reasonable and the food is really dam yummy! Hygeen is very good as far as i can see and the staff are always cleaning tables and washing there hands so this is a pluss for me to see.
I highley recomend this place to you other ladys out there for a meal or evening out, great place where liverly music is played but you dont need to have to shout over the top of it. I would also recomend a watermellon smothy personaly, however the coffee is nice and strong too if a caffeen boost is needed before a long evening ahead!
Parking is not to bad along the surounding roads and the areas are well lit with street ligting and houses so again safty is not a issue.
Toilets are clean and tidy. My only issue would be that a towle or hand tissue to dry my hands on is needed, so i dont need to pop into the mens to get some. đ
Anyway...
Read moreWent there for a large group Diwali Celebration on a Saturday evening and whilst the food was great some small quibbles and recommendations.
For ease agreed amongst the diners to go for a set buffet menu at ÂŁ28. For veg option had ordered papri chat and garlic mogo and for veg mains panner masala and dhal. Unfortunately instead of serving papri chat, chiller paneer was served instead, which meant the vegetarians were served paneer for both starters and mains and sadly the reason for the change was not communicated. Although have to say all the food was absolutely delicious and on point, I do not think any of the diners ate ÂŁ28 worth of food and therefore recommend and going forward to order of the main menu. Also to assist with service and ease of payment I had requested the diners to get drinks directly from bar prior to seating which was much easier for both the diners and restaurant staff. Whilst I was informed at time of booking from the owner that he could not gaurantee me who the DJ would be on the evening which the honesty was greatly appreciated unfortunately the music party vibe was slightly disappointing compared to other local establishments - sorry but I think you have such a fantastic set up in the restaurant in terms of food and ambience this entertainment especially on a Saturday Night was amiss. Finally a big shout out to Alex who is the Manager and Krishna they are absolutely brillant, always very attentive when I have dined at the restaurant and nothing is too much - adding a personal service goes such along way. Kudos to them. Overall we had an absolute fantastic evening of celebration so thank you for our Diwali...
Read moreSecond visit. Table booked for 7pm. Upon being seated we were told there is a 2 hour limit, but if they've got space they'll allow us to stay longer. Came as a bit of a shock because nothing was mentioned upon the time of booking. Drinks and starters were ordered and arrived in a timely manner. Food here is out of this world delicious! Shisha order took a while and so did second round of drinks order. They even neglected to clear our table or take our mains order. When a waiter finally did arrive at our table, he told us that we only have 15-20mins left. We were outraged because, had they taken our order half an hour ago, we would have had time to eat etc. We asked to speak to the manager (Dev), but the waiter kept saying that he's just doing his job by informing us about the time. We told him that his job is to serve us. The waiter returned and said the manager is allowing us to stay for half an hour more. This made us even more angry as we wouldn't have been able to order and eat our mains in that time. We went inside the restaurant to speak to the manager, who completely understood our frustration and allowed us to stay for an extra hour. He also gave us a complimentary dish of Pau Bhaji that was not on the menu. Service slightly improved after that, until we tried ordering dessert. We asked for the menu and the waiter returned half an hour later to ask us if we wanted anything. Also, we were told throughout the night that they were so busy...there were plenty of empty tables! Such a shame that we won't be returning because food...
