Franco's Dine — Restaurant in Maidstone

Visited on Saturday 20th Jan 2024, never visited before so thought we would try. Straight away we were given a warm welcome (even if the shopping centre was cold lol). We were treated as though they knew us for ages, the specials were described with passion, along with the rest of the menu. My wife and I had specials, cheese and tomato sauce with Italian sausage, baby tomatoes and either penne pasta or gnocchi. Made fresh and totally delicious!!!! We then had desserts of which I forget the names but again fresh for the day and superb for finishing off our meals.

The staff were absolutely lovely with fresh and delicious food, please support them over a Starbucks as they are passionate about customers enjoying the food and drink. They also have a small shop where you can buy some of thier...

What a rip off. I had 1 half cooked egg that was very snotty, 2 very cheap hash browns, 6 mushroom halves which were over cooked and beans that were overcooked, 2 slices of bread which I had to butter myself and a tea which wasn't very good either. My friend had an egg and bacon sandwich, she wanted a bacon and mushroom sandwich but it meant they would have had to slice some mushrooms and put them in, so they don't do that. The bread wasn't buttered and so was dry, the theme is they don't really want to do anything for the money and she had a cappuccino. How much was this disgraceful meal ??? £21. I do hope all you people reading this take note and don't go in there, I would sooner have eaten my shoes they would...

We went in with my wife and girl to have english breakfast and my girl had a ham and cheese sandvich.The breakfast doesn't include toast,so ordered 2 each separate,they put 4 pieces of butter as well next to them,just to find out that everything had to be paid separatelly :( Ended up paying £32 at the end for 2 english breakfasts and a ham and cheese sandvich and 2 teas and a juice for my girl. Rather to go JD Wetherspoon,pay £8,50 for a breakfast and u got everything included in that price...LOL... I don't know how some businesses keep on going,while loosing customers like us.....I bet many more people will not be going back after first...
