I am disgusted and I really do not know where to start. This is some of the worst service that I have ever experienced! When we ordered our food nobody told us that there would be a long wait. I understand that at busy times a wait is a possibility but customers should be told before ordering and paying. If we had known that we would have to stand there for half an hour for two burgers we would never have ordered. We have never been to an Archie's before and when we ordered my partner asked if they did normal fries as we had been offered crinkle or curly and my partner specifically asked "do you have normal non-crinkly straight ones". He was told yes and then was given crinkle fries. Not good... if you don't have them that's fine but we should have been told. Whilst we were waiting for half an hour the women who were taking orders were stood around doing nothing except gossiping about customers... myself and my partner and other customers heard this. We were not the only ones annoyed about the wait and people were getting annoyed to which the woman who appeared to be the manager decided to say "christ" when one man took his food because he clearly wasn't happy. The same woman was eating food out of the frier with her hands. Not only is this very annoying when you are stood there waiting for your food when you're extremely hungry, it is also unprofessional and quite frankly not hygienic. Especially during a pandemic. I also noticed that no one in the kitchen was wearing masks or gloves. It was difficult to understand why there were four women standing there doing nothing whilst there was a room of unhappy customers waiting for their food. The time stamp from when we ordered our food was 6:51. The time stamp of when we received our food is 7:17 however, we were not handed the bag until 7:19. I was checking. 29 minutes is ridiculous wait time for fast food. No one told us when we ordered. After waiting for 15 minutes with nothing being said I asked how long it was going to be... I was told 5 minutes. At this point I heard the woman who appeared to be the manager ask the chefs to do some of the in-person take away food. Me and the other people waiting could see that the uber eats orders were being done and we weren't moving at all. When we took our food the woman said "sorry for your wait" but with zero sincerity and when you have already seen her do this several times and then gossip with other members of staff it doesn't make you feel like a well-looked after client or that she was sorry at all. We specifically chose to go to this Archies instead of the other one further down the road as it said that this one was take-away only and therefore we assumed would be quicker as that is what it is there for. I was honestly disgusted with the attitude of the staff and our wait. I emailed Archie's about this who responded saying that a 25-30 minute wait time is normal and made no comment on any of the other points made. I emailed them again asking for a response for example to staff eating food with their hands straight from the frier and a month later have no response. Disgusting service... One VERY...

Burgers and Shakes

Location: The Burger Bar is located in the heart of the University student areas. This is the 2nd branch from the ever popular franchise. One of the biggest let down for this place is access. There isn’t much parking around the area, if there is..its restricted, parking meters and very few parking. However its on a major bus route which is good...if you manage to find parking you wont be disappointed

Customers: This place is very popular with students and night revellers, due to its late opening time. However, it’s started to become very popular with High School and College kids, especially weekend evenings. This does have seating area downstairs but unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend it for families as its very tight squeeze. Those who do come food is served to the seating area which is handy.

Food: I have to say I still haven’t found a place better than Archie’s when it comes to Shakes and burgers. If anyone knows any better halal places let me know. The shakes come in a labyrinth of flavours with some being changed to match celebrity status. Talking of celebrity, this place is very popular amongst the celebrity circle, with Recent visits from the Game and the main man himself Floyd Mayweather (google it)

Price/Customer Service The price of food and shakes are very reasonable, and you wouldn’t mind paying a higher price with the quality of the food. For a very busy place the customer service is quick fast and efficient. The only work needed is on those fries!! But the burgers are heaven, from the basic cheese burger to the monster Daddy burger.

Summary: If you looking for a great burger and shake place you’re not going to find it better in Manchester. If you traveling into Manchester and looking for a quick bite to eat highly recommend the place. I believe they have just opened one...

Really tasty burgers and good value for money! This branch of Archies is tiny inside and at times it can get really busy, but I find that they get your order to you in a reasonable time so you're not waiting around too long.

In terms of food, I recommend ordering the Chicken Deluxe Burger if you don't want it too spicy, and if you do want something hot, then go for the Portuguese Peri Burger.

I sometimes stop off just for a milkshake - they have a number is signature shakes (some named after the celebrities who picked the ingredients) but you can also choose from their vast range of chocolate bars and sweets to have one of these blended into your milkshake. The "Million Dollar Shake" is a safe choice to go for if you're unsure and is a favourite among my group of friends.

I tend to visit their newer branch more because it has a seating area and a lot more parking options nearby (it's located a bit further down Oxford Road opposite All...

I wouls say this place is overrated compared to other palces i have been too. Big shout out to the staff on shift last night. friendly guys! I paid £18 for A fillet burger fries drink and half a waffle. They only had crinkle fries or curly fries which is crazy to me, never seen anywhere do that and personally think it's a bad decision. They do not do meals so you have to buy everything individually, without my waffle I think it worked out to be around £12/£13 quid for the food... which is more than you would pay at KFC for a fillet burger meal and it always thought that was expensive. I dont think the food was all that, it was okay but I did expect a lot more from the hype I heard. Waffle wasnt great either. I would return but definitely as a last resort and need to try other places. This is not the place. Expensive but food is very average at best. But I understand the masses prefer average food.

Tried a few things off the menu. They where very busy took me 25 minuites to get my food, how ever what let them down was the milkshake and waffle where ready 10 minutes before my burger! The burgers where small and pricey compared to others around here, how ever they tasted amazing. Tried the beef burger as well as the chicken. Chicken burger was quite dry as a sand which needed more mayo opposed to the small amount they put in there. Milkshake was very good and very thick as they should be. Nachos im not sure, the crisp they used had a weird seasoning. I would deffo return to Archies but it cost us around £32 for 2 people having 1 meal each and sharing a waffle and milkshake. That is on the expensive side for a takeaway!

Came all the way from London to Manchester to try this spot. I was skeptical since I don’t eat meat and they don’t do any fish burgers (which is sad) but I had to resort to having a falafel burger with spinach , halloumi & chick peas. I never had falafel before so I wasn’t too kin but I was hungry so I had no choice. To be honest I made a lucky choice because it wasn’t tasting bad. It was very decent. I would actually go back again. They should open up a branch in London cause I don’t mind having it again. But in all honesty, they need to have an option of fish/seafood burgers added to the menu.
