Dinner at Bundobust was an explosion of colors, textures, and bold flavors – the perfect kind of chaos that Indian street food is meant to be. • Vada Pav (top right): The undisputed street-food king. A fluffy fried potato patty hugged by a crisp coating, paired with a tangy chutney that had just the right kick. Comfort food at its best, though I could’ve used a touch more heat. • Okra Fries (bottom right): A standout! Crisp, spiced, and addictive – the batter was light enough not to overpower the vegetable, making it dangerously easy to keep reaching for more. • Chole (chickpea curry, middle right): Warming and hearty, with soft chickpeas swimming in a spiced tomato-onion gravy. Paired with puri, it gave that satisfying homestyle feel, like a proper North Indian comfort dish. • Bhel Puri (bottom left): Fresh, tangy, and crunchy – puffed rice, sev, pomegranate, coriander, all bound together with chutneys. A true palate cleanser among the heavier dishes. • Ragda Pattice (top left): Potato cake on a bed of white pea curry, topped with sev and chutney. Creamy, spicy, and textural – this one hits all the notes of classic Indian chaat. • Cabbage & Kale Sambharo (middle): Surprisingly refreshing – a stir-fried cabbage and kale mix with mustard seeds and carrot. A lighter side dish that cut through the richness of everything else.

✨ Highlights: Okra fries and Ragda Pattice stole the show. ⚖️ Balance: Some dishes leaned comfort-heavy, so the sambharo and bhel were welcome contrasts. 🍺 Pairing: Craft beer alongside the feast worked brilliantly, cutting through the spice and crunch.

Overall, Bundobust continues to nail that concept of vegetarian Indian street food with a modern twist – vibrant, shareable, and full of character. Perfect for grazing...

I was disappointed tonight with my takeaway food from Bundobust. I was very hungry while traveling back to my hotel tonight. I read great reviews and it was a quarter passed 9 so I stopped in. Back at the hotel, I opened my order. The "Kachumber" dish described to me as a salad of mixed vegetables was a cup of loosely packed lettuce leaves with barely a few additional pieces of julienne carrots. The menu description included cucumbers, red cabbage, mustard seeds and lemon juice but I didn't see or taste any of these. I also ordered the dhal and rice also served in a 12oz-ish cup. It was mostly rice. Both menu items were not worth the £16 (including the small glass of beer I drank while waiting for my food). I added a generous tip of £6 so the total bill was $22 for a cup of lettuce leaves, rice with a touch of dal and a glass of beer.

Dear Bundobust owners and managers, please ensure your staff treats takeaway guests the same as those dining in. Also, charge more if needed so you can provide a decent menu...

I visited the new Bundobust Brewery in Oct-21 with my boyfriend. We had a short wait at the door, then short wait at the bar before we were seated. They have a good system in place where a certain number of customers can wait at the bar before being seated at a table, so we tried some of the interesting beers from both local breweries and one of my favourites for sours Vault City.

Once seated you can either order through scanning the barcode or go and order at the bar. Our food was delicious and it all comes in little tapas type pots. If you order too much (like we did) they will bring a lid for the pots so it's really easy to take home with you to enjoy the next day.

We had an issue with our transaction and realized a couple of days later we had been charged twice. However I emailed Bundobust and they refunded straight away which I thought was excellent customer service.

I will definitely be returning for more delicious...

A very very high quality place for both Indian street food and beer. Having been to their outlet in Leeds a few times over 5 years ago, I can honestly say the quality has not dropped - if anything it has improved in both fields. I went just before a dinner service, so the venue wasn’t busy initially but was filling up by the time I left. Service was efficient, and at the bar (no QR codes). Beer range is superb in can, keg and cask. Atmosphere is casual and would imagine it’s amazing at weekends when a DJ plays. Would highly recommend. Update July ‘23: food and drink ranges still superb with good choices available for people not able to handle huge amounts of spice. A few new items and tweaks to old faves on the food menu. Didn’t mention before but the Okra Fries are absolutely to die for, they are incredible. And I did a great little self pairing of Elusive Sticky Toffee with some Indian ice cream, which was amazing.
