A Skewer of Disappointment with a Side of Regret!
Truly terrible and painfully expensive for the privilege. Honestly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had out, and I’ve had airplane food that put this place to shame.
I went with two friends. Our little tradition is to try a new restaurant every month or two. This one easily takes the crown for the worst yet, and unfortunately, it came with a king’s ransom of a bill. If the food had been good, we’d have swallowed it. Sadly, the only thing we swallowed was regret.
One friend ordered the Garides (king prawns) to start. For £10.50, you get three standard-sized prawns drowning in greasy sauce, bulked out with more green peppers than a Tesco clearance shelf. I had the Yerevan Khachapuri, which sounded exciting but turned out to be a dense deep-pan pizza with identity issues.
Then came a long, dry wait for the mains. We were left to marinate in our own conversation, completely ignored by staff. Empty glasses, no offers of another round. We eventually had to flag someone down like we were on a desert island.
And the mains? Not worth the wait. My Tavari Shish Khorovadz (rib-eye) for £23.95 was a disaster. I was asked how I wanted it cooked, but it came out so incinerated I briefly wondered if it had been grilled in hell. The meat, skewered but not actually served on a skewer, was tough, dry, and lacked any trace of seasoning or tenderness. The plate was bulked out with a sad salad and three slithers of grilled potato, presumably to distract from the fact the meat could double as a chew toy.
The décor makes it look like it’s trying to be upmarket, but I’ve had better meals in a cafe with plastic tablecloths and sticky menus. At least there, the food doesn’t make you wish you’d gone to McDonald’s instead.
To add insult to indigestion, the bill came with an automatic 12.5% service charge that didn’t seem optional. My personal total: £51.30, which nearly made me choke. Or maybe that was just a bit of shish.
Sheeeeeesh....
Read moreWent on a Friday evening not busy other than one pre booked group. We informed we had not pre booked but would be a table of 3, our friend was running late by 30mins. Thereafter we were asked by 5 separate staff did we order and even the manager said he wished to split our table if our 3rd member didn’t arrive. This was no more than 5 mins in. Both of the older male managers had no customer service skills and created a bad atmosphere. After the constant bothering despite us already ordering drinks we said we were happy to process starters then order mains as our friend arrived. Bare in mind the restaurant was not busy and didn’t become busy. We ordered soup and bread it took 40 mins to arrive, whilst it was good food it took far too long. Once our friend arrived the staff then ignored the opportunity to serve. Upon placing orders for mains it was around 30 mins later we were told the vegetable moussaka was available, again why so long to tell us basic info. Thereafter, food came out late and with large gaps, one member of the party was half way through their dish before the others had came. Again it was not busy and we were not informed. The manager was eager to clear the table. When we asked the server to bring the bill and card reader he went missing until we asked again. We asked to remove the extortionate service fee for this reason. Manager didn’t care or provide an apology when we raised the issues. The Ukrainian and other female server tried their best.
The manager kept messing around with the music and lighting which ruined the already poor atmosphere.
Overall poor communication and service for a restaurant that is attempting to serve high quality food and atmosphere. Food is okay but wouldn’t...

Restaurant location not clear and we found it under ground in basement only. we came from far away place based on the reviews here in google but the reality was far away of the written reviews. We ordered a mixed of cold salad, kabab and ribs lamb for dinner. The waiter provide the salad and I rate it 2/10, and the bread was cold but I asked him to bring fresh one and he said I brought it fresh !!! he is lying it was cold !! but he brings another one fresh and hot !! After that we stayed very long time waiting our main dishes and he was around and there are two tables busy only (no more customers) and when he bring it after half hour I said finally !! and he looks surprised !! and he said I am waiting for you to ask me to bring it. !!! anyways the ribs were almost burned and looks not fresh, and the taste of kabab was very bad and covered with sauce, I tell him about that, and he said what you want? I said want to cancel it then he bull out the dish with impolite way from the table and he said ok will cancel it .. then I surprised he didn't cancel it and I pay the full amount but I did that to avoid any conflict with him where my family alongside of me !!! The waiter was too rude and have a discrimination tone !!
