Very disappointed with our experience at the Albert Square Slug and Lettuce. We booked the bottomless brunch for 9 people at 6pm as I’ve been to the Deansgate branch for the bottomless brunch before and had a wonderful time a few months prior so I was looking forward to my friends birthday celebration here. Lovely service and the food was fine at this branch but the drinks were thoroughly disappointing. There was little to no alcohol in the drinks and they genuinely just tasted like juice. Considering I’m a light weight and I hadn’t eaten prior to the event, after 9 drinks during our stay we weren’t even tipsy. The menu had also been reduced with the types of cocktails since our last visit, leaving only a few options to choose from. The bar was more of a club at 6pm with the music far too loud to talk to others. Along with this, there was a mishap with the card machine, charging my friend double for the bill which came out of her account twice and the waiter rudely proceeded to tell us that the card machine hadn’t received the payment and it wasn’t his problem to try and fix. She’s been fighting for days to get her money back. We paid Ā£37 to get a decent meal but not tipsy in the slightest which is the whole point of the experience. We are so disappointed with this situation, it really put a dampener on the birthday party. I would...

We went for Bottomless Brunch on Saturday 11th January. When we arrived we were seated by a lovely young man who explained everything. We had a lovely waitress/ server who was on hand for drinks and food. Food was plentiful and cocktails were good. We had a code for the January offer to upgrade the cocktails which was good. What did ruin it and had to make down the experience. Was at the end a guy came to the table and very rude and abruptly said he needed the table . He then proceeded to say drinks we had ordered are on the bar and didn't we know what time our brunch finished. I understand you need the table back, but I did say to him there may be a better way to ask people to vacate a table. Rather than with a raised voice and his tone. I did ask his name for our feed back he declined. He had dark hair and was in his 30s I would say.. Clearing the tables at the end we hadn't seen him up to this point . He ruined it as everyone having a great time and his outburst was uncalled for. I'm in my 50s and dont expect that . Well no one should.. I also work with the general public and wpuld never speak to anyone like...

Nice joint we went yesterday for lunch we sat outside for 5 minutes no menus nobody came, so I went inside and found some menus (later I found more menus with lunchtime deals on). Anyway, we ordered 5 small plates 2 cocktails, a coke and a fanta for the little man. 50 odd quid.

Now, the girl behind the bar with brown hair and white trainers was lovely as was the blonde who changed our table to inside when the wind picked up. However, the wings were well over cooked and not just crispy skin but crispy burned meat. The chicken skewers were also fairly hard but manageable, the breads were crispy over cooked. Nobody came to ask how our food was and the girls didnt make eye contact after delivering the grub.

The Mrs had both cocktails within 45mins, she doesnt drink so was expecting to feel something. But felt nothing, have things been watered down? Who knows, cocktails were tasty but she was bored with 2 of the same cocktail anyway. This place is "the home of 241 cocktails" but does not let you try 2 different cocktails of the same price (Ā£15), instead you must have 2 of the...

I recently visited Slug and Lettuce in Albert Square for their bottomless brunch, and I had an amazing time! The atmosphere was lively, and the staff were incredibly friendly, but what really stood out was Georgia, our waitress. She was absolutely fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the whole experience. The bottomless brunch itself was a treat, with a great variety of drinks to choose from, including Prosecco, cocktails, and soft drinks. The food was delicious too, with generous portions and plenty of options to suit everyone's tastes. Georgia made sure our glasses were never empty and was always checking in with us to ensure we were enjoying our time. Her positive energy and excellent service really made the experience even better. If you're looking for a fun, relaxed bottomless brunch with fantastic service, I highly recommend this Slug and Lettuce. Make sure to ask for Georgia—you won't be disappointed!

we order a bottle of wine, the bottle was all dirty and full of dust and that it wasn't what we order and they did'nt tell us anything, the glasses were dirty, but very dirty, I had to ask them to give me new ones and they bring me some all wet, I'm not complaining but the minimum for a bottle of wine is to bring the glasses dry so that the wine doesn't mix with the water... the food is good, but the service is very bad. I've worked at the bar and that's why I don't see it as normal for them to serve wine like this.In the picture you can see the cup full of drops of water, which is how they were given to me.

I am bursting with immense gratitude for the incredible ladies and the entire team at Slug and Lettuce! Their warm hospitality has truly made us feel like the most cherished guests. When we stepped in to unwind and let our hair down, they greeted us with such vibrant joy and positivity that it instantly lifted our spirits. The level of customer service we experienced was nothing short of extraordinary, and they have absolutely earned every bit of this heartfelt review. A special shout out goes to Becks, whose kindness radiated throughout our visit—thank you for being so wonderfully lovely!
