Atlantic Fish Bar — Restaurant in Manchester

I am really disappointed with the response from the female staff members passive aggressive behaviour. When I was describing the taste of the fish, only a small piece was consumed. Both staff members point blank refused to give me a refund for the fish. Neither did they smell the fish to verify what I was saying. Instead they confirmed that the oil was new. The female staff member asked me whether I wanted the fish, or thrown out. I confirmed again that I couldn’t eat the fish in its current state. I then asked for the managers number, the female staff member then served a customer.

A friend walked passed the Atlantic fish shop, and I went out of the shop to tell her what was happening. I was still waiting for the managers number, when I saw the female staff member go on to serve the second customer. I tapped on the window, whereby the passive aggressive stance from the female staff member was very apparent calling me rude. I told her that she was equally rude for not prioritising my complaint. The male staff member then threw down the telephone number on the counter.

Called in for lunch on my meal break. Ordered fishcake chips and beans. I was served immediately by some guy who clearly didn't want to be there. I received this very impressive parcel, paid for it and went back to my car with a smile on my face. I arrived at work and unwrapped the parcel. I looked for the fishcake but thought I will find it under the mountain of chips. I started eating and found that the beans were watered down that much the chips were soggy then to my disappointment. .. no fishcake. Too late to go back. I think if the wrapping is to go by .... Top marks for wasting paper. But I suppose it won't matter about the cost of the paper you can get the money back from charging for food you don't serve. Sorry first...

Ok, so having been to the other Atlantic Fish Bar in Chorlton (which is terrible), I was reluctant to try this one. However, in the three or four times I've got food from here since, I haven't once been any less than very impressed.

All of my orders have been cooked from fresh. The guys running the shop are very efficient so this doesn't take too long. The pieces of cod this place serve are ENORMOUS - easily the biggest I've ever had. I cut mine in half and each half was still the diameter of our large plates! The chips always taste good as well.
