Goind downhill... not yet terrible. I've been to Crazy Pedro's NQ many times before. I, however, am a regular of the Crazy Pedro's Bridge Street. Noticing a pattern at both that everything is progressively getting worse. Crazy Pedro's NQ specifically, used to be a really fun place to go, but with each passing visit, the music has gotten louder and louder to the point where you cannot hear the person next to you. This goes for the bar staff, who have to lean heavily across the bar to hear you shout your order. Tried to order drinks, told several weren't available as they were discontinued... no cider other than Koppaberg for example. Why have items on a menu if they're no longer available? Speaking of the bar staff... what happend? Did they just lose the will to live? Terrible service, large wait. More interested in standing at the end of the bar on their phone leaving a new staff member (who was very nice, but explained she was a new hire) to struggle massively to make a lousy cocktail. Cannot fault the cleanliness. Love the decor still and the music playlist. The highlight is always the pizza, and when you get the deal, well worth the money. Cooked to perfection, with unique flavours and, if you can not finish, offered a box to take home the leftovers. Always, a good experience food wise. Highly recommend the Godfather Pizza. Overall, while the set up, cleanliness, food, and concept is still great, the bar staff, service, and overall enjoyment is just going downhill. Me and my friends are sadly being turned off.

Came here a few times in the past, you can see a review from me before where we managed to get in. Just came out from NQ64 after ONE drink with my partner, was thinking of heading here to get a couple of slices of pizza and then head away. We got stopped at the door by your door lad, saying you didn’t have any seat available (we didn’t want to seat but only few take away slices) which was confrontational, not really sure why. It was around 4:55pm on Saturday 23rd. Having worked myself on a big club/venue in Deansgate I know how door lads work and what they look out for. Your business is losing money because customers are refused at the door by no apparent reason. No, we were not drunk, nor loud. Tell your security company to train your door staff better. We went to your venue in Deansgate and the experience was great. I’ll head over there from now on. This was my original 4 stars review. Nice funky place with a good selection of drinks. The pizza I had was really yummy. Service to improve a little but overall, a great experience.

Ok so this might actually be the best pizza in the world!!! 🍕 Honestly I’ve had some good pizzas in my time, but this blew my mind. It doesn’t look much from the outside, we actually walked past the entrance which had several bouncers outside at night, but inside is a different story. Staff were welcoming and yes it is a bit of a dive bar but it’s so good. Absolutely loved the 3 pizzas we tried (hotdog, wacko Jacko & the godfather) and the Camden’s Pedro brew was the perfect beer to go with pizza! All 3 pizzas were so good, big slices for a more than reasonable price! Amazing!! Not sure 5 ⭐️s is enough - you need to try this place !!!

Horrendous doormen made me throw a bottle of water away after vigorously searching my bag. Failed to protect customers by allowing in a foul violent man who attacked someone who ended up with a bleeding head. Absolutely useless.

Further, the bar staff were rude, egotistical and argumentative. My friend ordered margheritas, only one was given. So I asked another barman with a ponytail for one. He did not make the magherita properly, I watched him pour it and he didn’t rim the glass and it was only 2/3 full. I asked him if he could rim the glass and had a sip at the bar, it was terrible. I compared it to my friends margarita and you could clearly taste the difference, I asked if it could be remade after the barman tasted both drinks and he said “I’m serving another customer I’ll come in a minute” once he did he told me there wasn’t anything he could do apart from add agave. I spoke to the bar woman who made my friends drink and asked if she could make it, she refused, became defensive and said they all follow the same steps and kept repeating that there was nothing she could do about it. The original barman then came back and said that I must not like tequila I stated I loved tequila and margheritas are my go to. He added agave and reshook the drink. Whilst doing this confronted me and said “Is there a problem?” And asked several times to which I shook my head. He poured the drink into a new glass with ice and NO salt rim again. I just walked away upset. Terrible terrible experience, the DJ was great and really friendly but other than that, what a shambolic place and a cruel way to treat customers. I had a terrible day and just wanted a nice drink and to dance with my friends.

When I was dancing, the same barman was shooting my death stares and making me really uncomfortable. People like this shouldn’t have jobs, I’ve never been treated this way at a bar ever. Drinks are always tasted and remade and I’ve never been questioned and confronted. Staff and doormen need to go, you are making people miserable. It’s NQ, nothing fancy, just for a low-key night with pizza, drinks and music. I can see I’m not the only person who has been treated in this way....

RACIST - AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE OF COLOUR:

Security guard denied me entry to the venue because I was allegedly “too drunk”. I was tipsy, but not to the point where I would be denied entry into the venue. I was very much capable of speaking with not only the security but also the venue manager. When speaking to the venue manager he palmed off the duties to the security team and refused to get involved. There were two security guards, one white and one black. The black security guard could evidently see the racism going on and chose to stay quiet as he clearly didn’t want to conflict with his colleague. If he had also refused me entry, then I would’ve happily accepted and moved on.

The icing on the cake - I was let into a bar around the corners with my friends a few minutes after the whole fiasco, who had a lot more security staff and measures in place. This proves I wasn’t intoxicated enough to gain entry to a venue.

Having a look at the reviews, it seems this isn’t the first time something like this has happened at this venue and will probably not be the last.

The venue need to change the security agency they currently do business with and hire a venue manager that will speak up against injustice. My first and probably last time visiting Manchester, if this is the kind of treatment people like me will...
