I come here quite often after a kebab whenever i am in the area with friends. Used to be a pleasant experience but not this time. I ordered a scoop of ice cream in a standard wafer cone. I was charged 50p for the cone and when i questioned it the guy wasn't bothered at all. I told him how are you supposed to eat the ice cream if it's not in a cone, again he wasn't bothered. I have never been to an ice cream place where they charge you for a standard cone (a waffle cone yes but not a standard one). My friends got theirs in a tub with a plastic spoon, no charge for that, they're free (and probably cost more than a 2p cone). Once i bit into my ice cream the scoop was hollow. I showed it to the guy in charge, again he wasn't bothered at all. I stood at the counter expecting an apology or a little more ice cream but again nothing. Terrible customer service. When he saw me not moving and clearly needing something, i said what about the ice cream. He begrudgingly gave me half a scoop. Still no apology. If you can't get the basics right and give the customer a full scoop of ice cream that he's paying for then you've got it so wrong. And as for the name of the shop 'Italian Gelato Co' it's definitely not gelato but cheap quality ice cream. I will never step foot in that place again. Reply to the owners reply: Your response reflects exactly the lack of customer service, professionalism & bad attitude i experienced in your shop.

We went there today to eat in. I asked for an allergen menu to which I was asked to scan a QR code. The allergen menu showed two types of cheesecake, one gluten free and the other not. I asked the guy behind the counter (manager named kamran) to clarify if what I was offering was the gluten free cheesecake. His response was “I don’t know - if it says it on the menu then it’s gluten free”. I proceeded to order, when I clarified with the servers they were a lot more helpful and actually took a picture of the ingredients list - it confirmed my suspicions that the cheesecake they were going to serve was NOT gluten free. I immediately asked for a refund - to which kamran reluctantly gave. Does he not understand the gravity of the situation? Had I not have double checked my wife could have ended up in hospital and they would have been in big trouble. My advice to anyone thinking of visiting this place, stay clear - the owners need a massive change in attitude, without customers they wouldn’t have a business. I will never return and will advise everyone I know not to go. Ps the prices are extortionate too! Pps - Look at their response- it speaks volumes. It’ll just take one incident of someone having an anaphylactic reaction to close you down - my advice, stop trying to prove customers wrong and get some training in customer relations and grammar skills. Thank you for proving my point.

My recent experience at "Creams Cafe" fell short of expectations on multiple fronts. The staff's lack of attentiveness was unfortunate, as their unhelpfulness left a noticeable dent in the overall experience. The inconsistency in dessert offerings was equally disappointing, exemplified by instances such as one dish lacking a wafer and another arriving in a remarkably diminutive portion size. What exacerbated matters was the apparent apathy with which our concerns were met; despite acknowledging our issues, the staff failed to rectify them and chose to ignore our requests. Adding to the list of grievances was the unexpected charge of £3 per child for access to the play area, a policy that seemed at odds with the notion of an enjoyable outing. This off-putting pricing strategy detracted from the experience, leaving a sour taste in terms of value. Moreover, the demeanour of the employees further hindered the overall impression. Their superficial glances and unsettling presence contributed to an atmosphere that felt somewhat disconcerting. In conclusion, my visit to "Creams cafe" was marked by unhelpful staff, inconsistent dessert offerings, filthy bathrooms, unresolved concerns, a discouraging play area charge, and an ambiance tainted by the unsettling behaviour of the employees.

We have dined at many dessert places in Greater Manchester and London and today I visited Creams after a few years with my 5 child to treat her for her efforts in school this week.

When we arrived, we waited to be seated as per the notice. At the time, It wasn’t too busy, there were no customers at the counter nor were waiting to be seated. After nearly 10 minutes of waiting, the manager shouted from the counter area, whether we’re eating in or taking out (very unprofessional). He then rang the bell for a member of staff to finally attend.

After placing the order, the desserts didn’t take long to arrive but when they arrived, it was such a disappointment. My child had a doughnut which was super dry and my cookie dough was super mushy.

I allowed my child to have her doughnut but I raised my concerns regarding the cookie dough to the waiter. He was lovely and very understanding and advised that this wasn’t the first complaint he’s received from a customer about the cookie dough and explained that the head office had changed the recipe slightly. He politely advised for me to raise it with the manager who will probably give me a refund or change it. As I didn’t want to leave my child alone, I politely asked if he could address this on my behalf and he did so. I was disgusted to hear the managers rude response ‘that’s the way it’s meant to be and has always been that way, everyone else has got the same and they’re not complaining.’ This was not the level of customer service I expected at all especially in front of my child! My 5 year old child noticed his behaviour and later questioned ‘mummy why does that man look so angry’.

The waiter returned and apologised. I felt bad for him as he tried to help but clearly didn’t expect that response either. He tried to rectify it and offered to put it back in the oven for few more minutes. As I didn’t want to make things difficult for him, I agreed to it.

I find it shocking to see that people lacking common sense and customer service are given a managerial role. But I’m assuming that’s probably cause no one else can be trusted on the tills which is a shame cause I guarantee that this place will attract much more customers if you have a friendly person behind the till, not someone who is cold and comes across as scary! This man has not changed at all.

When you run a business, you need to expect that there will be unhappy customers but in order to build a great reputation for your business, you need to try to ensure that complaints are dealt with professionally and in the right manner.

I hope the owner of Creams considers my concerns and is grateful for my honesty. Thank you for your time in...

Rubbish place to be!!!!! I orderd a waffle was too dry gave a complaint on the till and the lady at the till was very rude saying you ate it and now you saying its dry? Well what was we suppose to do had to try it and eat it did leave some to show the manager so the lady came out who called herself a manager was sooo rude instead of apologising to us she said you want a free waffle but you can't as you ate it with soo much attitude and as my husband spoke to her to tell her to speak with respect she swore at us saying "Cheekey Cow dont come back here shut up & get out" and started waving bye bye to us sooo rude utterly disgusted NO respect what so ever the staff are not trained at all properly they need to be trained onto how to respect there customers. Absolutely disgusted i have visited here on regular occasions but i must say that lady on the till is very disrespectful she shouldn't even be working there she doesn't even make her customers feel welcome calling us disgusting names and swearing at us i hope this place gets shut down for having sooo much rubbish reviews i just noticed all this with 3.9 reviews!!!! Rubbish place disgusting!!!!!!!!!!

So rude keep leaving reviews back and deleting them saying "stick to your local corner shop" why is your place some sort of VIP Lounge? Lol this place is worse than a corner shop I'd rather eat at a corner shop where they respect there customers and not swear you guys are not proffesional at all. Disgusting place and please go check again it wasn't 5 people sharing a waffle.. & isnt it surprising soo many bad comments and you guys are like backing up each and every comment of yours obviously you guys have ego issues and can't digest the fact that you guys made a mistake so rather apologising and accepting your mistake you sat here talking about corner shop and how asians are like when you need to look down at your own self how much of an asian you are when you swore!!!! Disgusting women you stoop so low swearing and abbusing nobody wins battles by swearing and thank god they were other customers there infront who your "proffesional staff" swore gives a good image of how you are and where you stand an how well your staff are trained wayyyy below a corner shop.... & then looking down at a corner shop is even worse not proffesional at all & about ading extra source liers nobody offerd at all obviously you all fishs are from the same pond soo its ueless explaining ourself to you guys waste of...

I have visited creams in cheetham hill on a number of occasions with friends and family. But my visit yesterday was very upsetting and felt disgraceful by the approach and tone of the manager.

When I first entered we was greeted kindly and offered a table near the play area, but was advised to pay before we start using it. It was cash only which we accepted and the lady advised where the nearest cashpoint was. So I went to get cash out. As I come back I paid at the till and took my daughter to the play area. My daughter is autistic and usually has fear of play areas she is not familiar with, so requires assistance to guide her. Which I did taking her to the top showing the slide and getting her comfortable to overcome here fear.

The waitress came over to my wife and advised this is not for adults so I need to get put of the play area. My wife explained my daughter is autistic and requires assistance or she will cry in fear and we will have to go in regardless to pull her out. The lady kindly listened and advised she will speak to the manager.

I saw the manger and there was no kindness or pleasant approach in his tone. He clearly just said.' No adults and if you break it you will pay £1000.' If the manger had kindly just said I'm sorry no adults are allowed this is only for kids. Then I would have happily accepted it and maybe got off. But the customer service and tone was very disgusting.

There is also signs displayed saying kids should be supervised at all times. My daughter is autistic she loves soft play but also has anxiety been on her own of shes not familiar. What do I do if she gets stuck and crying who will help her. They said it's not made for adults. But I'm sorry very could be a young kid who's obese might weigh more than me. Yes it's safe for him?

I think you should clearly signpost to say no adults in the play area if you are not wanting anyone clearly in there.

But I also think under disability act 2010 you should have more respect and consideration towards kids with disabilities.

I looked forward to my desert and play with my family. But this was simply ruined by the attitude of the manger.

It looks like under new management. As the previous management was understanding about my daughter. And was happy for us to assist her in...
