Khan Chai — Restaurant in Salford

Been to this tea joint on numerous occasions. Most of the times they don't have the special tandoori chai available when infact it's their speciality hence why it's called the special tandoor chai. I always go at different times, 9pm 10pm or 11pm but its very rare they actually have it the speculates available. Today I went and the lady at the counter told me they've stopped serving it therefore I challenged her as I had driven out 30miles for this particular tea. Her response was, we've stopped serving it as our machine isn't working but this was also the same reason they've given me on numerous occasions. Left my number for the manager to call me as the staff was unprofessional and couldn't answer any of my questions. I would advise the manager to make sure all items on the menu is available until close time just like other establishments and if you cant serve specific items then simply take it of the menu. Overall my honest review is, this place is not consistent sometimes its really nice and sometimes its tasteless and goes straight in the bin. Chaiwala across the road is consistent and the tea is always the same. The owners should maybe look into this and possibly hire staff that actually care rather than just playing on their phones or dancing to music. It's a tea place not...

Needed an early breakfast on the go, Khan Chai was open, and we decided to do a takeaway of coffee and 7 seven aloo paratas. These were HUGE and very tasty, we got some chutney & pickle too which did spice it up for my husband and I. This kept up very full way past lunchtime.

We did have a big order, and we did have to wait a good 25/35mins for our food. We were actually in a rush, it's a shame they only have 1 person in the kitchen, I really think they do need a few more hands in the kitchen to really get everyone's orders out quickly.

I would still definitely visit here again, you get a lot for your money.

2 visits and seems to be getting worse, first time order breakfast with omlette and got 2 confused eggs, 2nd time ordered 2 breakfasts and got 1 plate with toast and eggs and 2nd plate with omlette and toast. The sausages, beans and hash browns went for walks, 10 mins later the chef with a confused look still wonders what I'm waiting for, I mean bro come on I'm still waiting for the rest of the breakfast, by now the omlette and toast with the tea, ICE Cold.
