I’m a vegetarian!!!! So my reviews are based on the vegetarian food. The food served here was slightly disappointing to us as the restaurant claims Mumbai foods. We had Pani puri which was good, gobi Manchurian was not to the expectations, vada pav was a disaster (usually the Mumbai based restaurant servers very tasty dish), Paav bhaji was a good serve. As a main course we ordered biriyani, veg Hakka noodles, veg jelfrezi, and couple of naans. The dishes were bit spicy but was manageable (we asked to make it spicy as most of the restaurant around serves less spicy). The portions were perfect. The ambience is good, reservation to the restaurant is recommended during rush hours, parking lot in front of the restaurant is not reliable sometimes it gets full. There is a nearby shopping centre where car parks available.

I have never rated any restaurant this low but this is a very honest review. First of all the food served here is not even 5% similar to the food we get in Mumbai. I wouldn't have compared if the title wouldn't say Mumbai Tiffin Room. We ordered the Keema Naan which was okay 3/5. The Chicken Jalfrezi was just chicken+capsicum+onion in a tomato sauce (literally tasted like ketchup) and the naan was yellowish and had a dominating taste of khameer/yeast or soda. They weren't serving cocktails. Was very empty for a Friday dinner service. We were the only table seated. I am a person who loves to support small and authentic businesses but this one really put me off. The server was very humble and polite, would give him 5/5 for being an awesome server. Good luck.

I recently visited Mumbai Tiffin Room and ordered the masala dosa along with a cup of chai. The dosa was crisp and golden, with a perfectly spiced potato filling that reminded me of authentic South Indian flavors. The accompanying chutneys and sambar were fresh and flavorful, complementing the dosa really well. The chai was aromatic and comforting—just the right balance of spices and sweetness. It paired beautifully with the meal and added to the overall experience. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the service was friendly and prompt. If you’re looking for a satisfying Indian meal, especially classic tiffin items, I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Got a Groupon voucher as a present for Christmas for me and my wife. We had booked in for Tuesday the 21st of January 2025. Unfortunately my wife got took into hospital. So I had to change the date on this. I gave the company a ring and got told to ring back the next day when manager is in. So I rung back next day to be told again the same thing. So I rung them again next day and they said the exact same thing again ring back tomorrow manager not in and as I was speaking the guy just hung up on me. So I rung them back and told them I want to speak to the manager he then told me to ring back in a hour. 2 hours later I get a call back from this company saying they can change the date to a Sunday morning I asked if there is any other dates we could do and he said no either take the Sunday or don’t bother and hung up on me. This company is extremely rude and not helpful at all. Poor service throughout. AVOID if you...

We visited here yesterday while we were in Chorlton - hadn't been before but fancied some Indian food and wanted to try somewhere new. We were not disappointed! The staff were very friendly and the service was fantastic. We had a range of starters (the samosa chaat and Gobi Manchurian were especially delicious) and for our main courses we had butter chicken, chicken saag and chicken Handi (I asked for this to be a little more spicey than normal and they did this perfectly). It was a good feed - all very tasty and we were offered some takeaway trays to take home as we had a little left over. At the end of the meal the owner chatted with us about the photos on the wall, his heritage, etc which made it a lovely personal experience. I think this has just become my favourite Indian restaurant in Manchester! Great value and well...
