Tutku Cafe — Restaurant in Manchester

Rude staff and overpriced food for not so great quality. Used to be okay but has been going downhill for the last few months.

-they don’t provide receipts and on few occasions I have been overcharged but the staff are so defensive it creates a very unpleasant atmosphere if you bring this up -when looking at the prices on the menu, the waiter came over to ask what we were doing in a very confrontational manner and said that the prices are still the same and proceeded to stare at us for the next 15 minutes until we felt we had no option but to leave -the manager is extremely passive aggressive and makes very sarcastic and rude comments -the food is ok, not great and not terrible, a bit oily and extras are charged extortionately (1.50 for some avocado?) -the venue is cash only, slightly dodgy and that paired with the lack of receipts makes me wonder whether something is going on as in this day and age a cash only Venue is something of a rarity.

Just left the cafe with my sister, as soon as we walked in we noticed the cafe owners did a good job in regards to social distancing people at tables. However I would say that is the only positive thing about my experience here. Firstly, there's an Irish man that works for them..reckon he's the host of the cafe, was great towards the customers however we heard on numerous occasions that he was belittling the staff members and not speaking to them in a respectful manner which made us feel uncomfortable as we could hear it all go on. Secondly, when my food arrived they took the wrong order and send out a halal club sandwich instead of a full halal breakfast. However as I don't like wasting food and didn't want to wait any longer as it took them 30 min to bring to food out to us, I decided to just eat what they gave me (they were aware they served me the wrong thing). Lastly, when it came to paying the guy on the till had our order mixed up and tried over charging me by £10..luckily my sister realised and asked them to relook at the receipt which they then noticed a mistake made on their behalf.

Food was okay, wasn't anything I'd be running back for..better places within 5/10 min driving distance...

A group of us visits Tutku Cafe every week for lunch and we have been doing this for months. I cannot begin to tell you how excellent this cafe is. When we arrive we are greeted with warm and friendly smiles. We can choose where we wish to sit. As soon as we are seated we are handed menus. After a few minutes the staff come over to take our order. The great thing is we can change our order to omit items or include items. An example is when I order the full breakfast I don't order eggs but can order an extra bacon or sausage. The food is served piping hot and the chips are awesome! The service is is great and food is served quickly. The restaurant is clean and well maintained and the staff are just amazing and will do anything for you. I would highly recommend visiting this cafe if you want quality food at low prices with great service. Lastly the cafe only accepts cash but it would be great for the future if they could accept card. Keep up the good...
